Ohhhh heck thank you for this! I just found the storm ones and I love them so much. Do you happen to know how long the loops are, if any? One problem I've had in the past with background sounds is noticing the loop if it's less than like 40 minutes

Damn. Had no idea just how deep this man's tracing scam went. Looking at the originals vs the traces and his coloring work, it makes me wonder how he ever had that job to begin with.

Sitting at my desk with two cats in my lap, their front halves on the desk as they look at the computer monitor with Rhett and Link from good mythical morning

When the boys are not being little mischief makers, they'll be good for 5 minutes and watch the screen. I'm trying to get them used to being in their bed on the floor when in the studio, but this was too cute having both in my lap for a bit lol.

Already had to restrict who can interact with this post and once again I'm thankful that feature exists here. It's the only reason I talk about anything at all and why I feel I can post more openly.

I feel you. I've decided this site is my one little corner to not be slammed with every possible headline and bad news spewing from every outlet. The mod lists quiet the bad actors, the hate and most of the things that make me spiral so that I can see the people that make being online worthwhile.

True, it feels like we've had a thousand new apps pop up in the last few years trying to be the Next Big Thing. This is the first one I've genuinely enjoyed using in a very long time.

On top of that, the constant drama and jabs and deluge of a/i and fas-bros and being unable to block them all really destroyed the other places for me. The internet is so unkind, but here it's quieter...

Agreed. I've had my FA sitting on the far backburner, but only because I can't keep up with much anymore. It's also not the same type of SM like here, where I can interact with authors and scientists doing their own things instead of just artists. This place has been a boon for my business, too.

Yeah all the people will be the same, though I'm also it's the way the entire site functions. The ability to mass block is the only reason I feel comfortable here. I know it likely means some not-bad people are blocked, but I'm also not made to interact with thousands of strangers heh

Yep, that's where I'm at as well. If this place doesn't work out, I'm looking at the future of the internet as a whole and tbh, I think I'm just gonna drop off into nothing if this place goes up in serious flames. Well, I guess I'll still be on Cara, but it's not the same.

I think having a website is always a number one priority even if I don't harp about it as much as I used to lol. Our own sites will be the one place we can always control and be found through.

Absolutely, and utilizing the block lists helps to see the people I most want to engage with. People like you who drop by for a comment make this place much more tolerable lol. The ones who show venom and bigotry and all that flies on other sites I simply block.

I know there's a lot happening right now but I wanted to mention that BlueSky and I guess Cara are basically it for me. I don't have it in me to start again on a new platform that will inevitably have problems. Despite the issues here, this has been the best social for me by a long shot.

Hell yeah. I've found that our version of what's bad is subjective, and is often someone else's version of fantastic.
Letting ourselves have permission to be imperfect is pretty freeing.
