PRICE DROP
Beautiful people, it's my birthday so I'm dropping the price of both paperbacks to €8.50 for at least the next month. Maybe longer if I forget to change it. But wait, there's more! Are ebooks more your thing? Don't want to support the big retailers? We've got you covered - thanks to Ron…

What Gets Left Behind
From Irish writer David O'Mahony comes a collection of tales loosely bound by the things we and others leave behind them after death, whether that be emotional trauma, bodies trapped in ancient sarcophagi, spirits trapped in endless loops, or ancient entities awakened after…
Reminds me of when I asked it to tell me about my history research and it invented a list of articles I had supposedly written
Both my BlueSky and my Threads are almost entirely book related and I wish I’d revamped my social media like this years ago
If anyone could donate and/or share, it would be greatly appreciated. I am so, so tired. gofund.me/7fbb76a1
A good weekend on the acceptance front: My ocean-themed fantasy story Seafoam has been accepted for Dragon Soul Press's Lured from the Deep collection in May, while my grimdark SF/horror piece Sic Transit Gloria Mundi is coming out in December in Schlock! magazine
This is an incredible collection that’s so varied you will never look at a forest the same way again
It was worth a good bit of money to the film industry on the island
Mostly in Northern Ireland but with some forays into the republic: www.atlasofwonders.com/2022/04/wher...
My novella WIP is about to hit 16,000 words and I've just magicked up a passage that could be worth a 2,000-word story or flashback. I'm thinking it'll be close to 30,000 once the first draft is done and I've started filling in the gaps I've left myself as a surprise/landmine (delete as applicable)
Brilliant protest. Yosemite National Park workers hung an upside-down American flag — traditionally a symbol of distress or a national threat — thousands of feet off the ground on the side of El Capitan.
I watched it a couple of weeks ago for the first time in years, I'd forgotten about the chimney flue decapitation (crunch) and how every corridor in the house seems to stretch to infinity
One story for submission to a UK anthology finished, one for @gravesidepress.bsky.social needing another quick read, two older unpublished stories getting a dusting off and expansion to ship off for submission... never underestimate the motivational power of just finishing something
I've preordered my copy, have *you*?
Pepper wants to know what you’re doing to fight fascism today, while Loki doesn’t even know where she is
You know she’s the one when she gets you these for Valentine’s Day
“Do not bend your neck for that which cuts necks.”
A Sumerian proverb, as relevant today as it was thousands of years ago.
I linked DOGE staffer Marko Elez to a deleted X account that advocated repealing the Civil Rights Act, backed a “eugenic immigration policy,” and wrote, “You could not pay me to marry outside of my ethnicity."
He just resigned. www.wsj.com/tech/doge-st...
We spent so much time reading Greek and Enlightenment philosophy when all the while it was Scooter out there asking the big questions, like ‘how much is the fish?’ and ‘the question is, what is the question?’
It’s a fantastic series
I was fortunate enough to see Brie Larson (one of my favourite actresses of all time) perform in Elektra at the weekend, a Christmas present from my wonderful wife
Same. Two arrived today and I ordered two more yesterday
