They use the military as a prop and a shield while acting to destroy everything the military swore an oath to defend

It should be called a “quick reactionary” force. It’s notable that protests are classified as “civil unrest”. This is the beginning of the oppression phase of authoritarian control.

This is relevant again today. The directive just went out. Keep in mind, it’s illegal for the president to use the military as police without invoking the insurrection act.

The President wants to use the military to crack down on Americans who are exercising their 1st Amendment rights to oppose him. I can’t think of a better reason to insist on exercising those rights.

Never in the history of the US has any president openly and repeatedly called for the investigation, arrest & prosecution of his political opponents. While many continue to shrug these things off and normalize them, I will never stop pointing out that this is what autocrats do.

Some states — like California, Illinois, and New York — use their own funds to provide limited healthcare to certain groups (like kids or pregnant women).
But federally? There’s no free health insurance or Social Security for undocumented immigrants — and there never has been.

This is amazing. And it’s truly the stuff of nightmares.
