my only gripe is that ending feels too quick and anticlimactic. like I didn't expect credits to roll at all
it gives proper attention to the main sinner, to half of the rest roster, introduces interesting npcs, and explores some world building thingswithout anything taking to much attention from other parts. it's just. soooo cool. absolute cinema and everything. I wasn't so excited about projmoon soo long
I need a time to think about it, I finished it like 2 minutes ago, but generally
it's just made so well. it does everything that I didn't get from the previous canto
soooo the rest of canto really was that tame so the last part could be the best thing they did in a long while huh
WELL, I reread every statement about DD and you're right. That's never was stated. I guess all those years ago I just decided that's it's logical continuation of the idea that they will remake it. Thank you, will slightly rephrase things in my next video about that
Leviathan is cannon, but there were a huge legal thing about it with the author and I don't remember what came out of it. it was similar with wonderland situation, but they didn't uncanonise it
if I remember that correctly, of course, not so sure about this one
sooo yeah, it's officially non-canon, but it's safe to assume that everything that happened really did happen.
this is the reason why there wasn't any DD wulpurgis btw, even tho it supposed to be about every PM media
distortions is non-canon, actually! kjh gave up on the idea of writing it, because he decided that it would be better in form of a game. he actually talked about the game a couple of streams ago, it would be a novel of sort
story will be the same, but changes can be made
I liked that it had gossypium because hehe I talked about how it related to Ryoshu and also this phrase is literally electric sheep and I talked about it also and hehehe
Canto is still good by the way this was the initial point do you remember it
I'm really trying to be as positive as I can with them, because it is my favourite setting ever, but they do so much things that makes me sad. ehe..
they pushed so hard on this ID (again, MYSTERY elements with showing us her before the Sora, censured skills and second trailer) not because character is cool, but because of the design. because they know that it would sell. and yeah. I just want to say that I'm sad.
I know that this is it's community now. I know that Limbus is not some obscure game anymore. It's a proper gacha with community like any other. I don't want to be gatekeepy. But is this really necessarily? hurting the story to promote hot Don Quixote?? Sora as a character wasn't even that important
and it's just. I don't know. it's now a crime, of course. all gacha games are like this. trying to make hot woman even if it doesn't even make sense for the character, because it's just sells. but Limbus never were like this?? it's scary how much they are going for the typical gacha style things
her skirt is pretty long, her legs are stiks and she's overall slim and stuff. her design is small and silly, not hot. I can argue that tights would've work better for this then stockings, but whatever.
but Don is CLEARLY trying to be hot. and they designed Sora knowing that it will be on Don
design is just weird overall. it's too top heavy, it doesn't feel index, it's strange. but okay, I guess I can understand skirt on Sora as something like. Infantilizing? She's coded pretty young, she feels like a little naive girl, and she's not sexualised like at all, thanks god.
sexualised designs is not something inherently bad or evil. if done correctly. queen of hatred works fine, she always were like this, it is the idea, so Don having stockings and highlighted thighs is expected and earned.
but here..
but that's off topic. returning to Don Sora
her design is just so. ugh. unnecessarily sexualised? it's a divisive topic I know it's just my opinion and etc buut
it's a Don Quixote ID with stockings and highlighted thighs. when the most sold ID ever is Don with stockings and highlighted thighs.
I had discussions about like. how long it will take us for this character ID?? or for this?? when do you think we will be strong enough for a BIG brother?? and now, after all of this new ID's it's like. who cares. if they want, they can drop Black Silence Heathcliff tomorrow.
complete and utter destruction of in-universe power level of identities. I'm talking about Cappo Meursault mostly, but he's just the most egregious case. Yes, it is cool to get ID of a strong character. but it makes me overall so less excited about future content. on the first year of the game-
doesn't bear like anything good for the game. it's, again, just a thing to steer up excitement, and this kind of artificial excitement is nothing but more sales.
they are doing those kind of things a lot in recent times, I don't want to talk about all of it, but yeah. Best example of this is-
villain? it's just silly. and with reading her story (something pretty expected from the player, I guess, like of course I want to play new content with new content IDs) I even know the twist that she's an EGO wielder.
releasing an identity from the new content at the same time as this content-
Sora is just. Why. You already spoiled me the character. You already told me that character with this design is the member of the Index. Even with just the announce and identity being in the game. This is something that I cannot avoid. Why are you trying to make it a mystery? why is she a twist-
it and it is so bad for the game. I really do hope that it was a one time deal and it will never happen again.
it's once again something that is good for monetisation but is bad for gameplay and it's just making me more and more disappointed each time.
and with this context the way they handled-
different topic. I'm kind of baffled by the Don Quixote ID. it's so bad so much ways.
like. why did they showed it before 2/3. for what reason other than to steer hype and sell more gacha. look at her she's all so MYSTERIOUS with censored lines in skills and everything
it's the first time they did-
of course it still would've been pretty hype. it's a new color fixer after all, they are always cool. and his sprite is like WOW. buut idk so strange how much the hype relies on me knowing who it is, and I know who it is because I've read something non-canon that they don't even talk about now
of course it's not their fault for Wonderlab and Leviathan. stuff happens. but with DD it's so weird. if I would've experience this setting in an intended way (without reading anything non-canon) then to me it would be just. oh wow another new strong man that saves the day. cool.
it's hard even to point the coolest moment or something like that. because everything is just like. on the same level of pretty cool.
but I guess it's DD team arriving and Vespa specifically and like whaaat he's a color fixer now
and that makes me so sad about all of their other media like
which is an amazing contrast to Canto 8 where 1/3 and 2/3 were crazy packed and 3/3 dropped the ball real hard
maybe it were intentional? they decided that pacing of 8 was bad? who knows. also 3/3 is set up like the coolest thing in the world so maybe my whole opinion will change because of it
buuut it so. like. tame?? in a strange way. like it's good, again. I like it. but it just feels like nothing big really happened? like every twist is kind of expected. yea, Ryoshu has a daughter, yea, she was raised by fingers. it's interesting, nice to finally see it, but there's nothing too wild
