Tfw you love color theory and you get to study it in class only to find that unbeknownst to you, you’re suffering from a seemingly insignificant yet rare form of mild color blindness called tritanomaly that affects how you see blue light…and blue is also your favorite color…(what an utter betrayal)

The example I found online shows examples of normal color vision and tritanomaly which is very close to what I experience. Both bars start to look the same to me when I look at them directly.

This could explain my preference for lines and values or limited solid color schemes and gradients.

So I’ve got a confession to make. It’s possible that I have “slight color blindness”. I never noticed until recently.

I looked up a condition regarding “difficulty with perception of color” and I found “anomalous trichromacy”. I see a wide range of colors but there’s an “anomaly” that mutes them.

Some updates
So my iron deficiency was addressed but I still have anemia and I’m still faced with fatigue among other things which is upsetting after all this time.

I’ll see what happens after this heatwave because if I wait too long my energy levels will probably go back to square one again

This heat has absolutely been *destroying* me

I have been seeing and hearing *so* many cardinals, the red ones, lately. In fact I saw one every single day for a week and I even dreamt of a bright red cardinal in my house.

I think I may need to take a chance at making a bright red cardinal harpy guy to get out of this art block sometime.

The mourning dove was my bird of the day today on my bird identification app

Let me put it this way, there is a rather huge part of me that is missing and I legitimately cannot do anything else until it comes back to me.

The app is okay but kinda slow on my phone (granted its model is like 7 years old now). I may need to switch to iPad (only 3 years old) though I’m not sure if the app has been optimized for it. I used the desktop version on my iPad okay last time.

Though I did get some sort of long overdue treatment that boosted my energy (after enduring lingering side effects) the heat and humidity aren’t good for me or my art. I missed out on too much and it’s time I get back on track somehow. Thanks for your understanding.

Highly, highly disappointed that my body decided to say “no new art for you, stay tired” for more than half a year or so now. At this point it’s like I’m “not allowed” to know the reason for it anymore. 🙃
