I think something we don't appreciate enough as a society is that for the majority of human history hearing a particular piece of music was only possible if you could find someone in a public place/event playing it, owned an instrument/knew it yourself, or were rich and could employ a musician.

found out that a beloved unhoused community member in Santa Fe/ Oga P’ogeh passed away recently. absolute beam of radiant light despite life circumstances. heart is aching for her, for the disease of addiction, for the myriad of oppression and social neglect that makes ppl vulnerable, for the world.
