Ripping out last of the pole beans. Had a poor season, only reason I can think of is excessive rain in July & August. Usually harvest a year’s supply to stock the freezers, but probably only put up 15 or pints. Still have producing Sea Island red peas which I actually prefer over beans.

Mixing up some potent sugar water for the hummingbirds. We have 6-8 different hummingbirds at our feeder & right now they are in hyperphagia; way overeating tanking up to migrate to South & Central America. They’ll essentially double their minuscule body weight in this feeding frenzy. No red stuff.

My initial & continuing reaction to the Charlie Kirk murder is “who is Charlie Kirk?”

Had better days. After still yet another “procedure” on my lower spine, anesthesia always makes me puke & destroys my appetite. Lower back is so sore I can’t lay down or sit, so sorta squirm around on my side. Pain relief doesn’t happen for several days so I have all the pain & none of the benefits.
