I caught up with the manga recently and it's just absolutely peak vibes

I love this movie, it was so good especially considering a vast majority is talking heads and still images of the said photos

The bale eyes were are already a predator in the abyssal sea, and have become a devastating invasive species after introduction to the regular sea. It has a sensory organ that can detect high concentrations of arcanis which it uses to hunt down and attack prey 7/7

The bale eyed chimeriod is a real problem for the KDF as it travels faster than any ship or submersible. Magical chimerization is the fusion of multiple creatures via exposure to massive amounts of arcanis, this process creates new creatures that are reproductively viable 6/7

Gontons mass is based off of marine worms who aggregate and swarm together. In this case they are essentially scavengers but upon introduction to the normal sea have into ravenous predators that travel in a singular mass and disperse in an area to strip it of organic matter 5/7

The emerald fortress is a arcanely gigantified radiolarian. It has adapted in higher water columns to convert light and arcane energies to create and fire volleys of concentrated arcanely charged jet streams 4/ 7

Imagine Pacific rim/ star ship troopers, but underwater and using world war 1 trench tactics to defend the coast lines instead of giant mechas. The krakens depicted are some of the beasts that have emerged from the abyssal sea that the KDF have to regularly fight back 3/7

These kraken beasts devastate coastal cities and have effectively stopped the marine economy of the new world (fantasy Americas). So a multi nation coalition called the Kraken Defence Force was formed and has been in a protracted "war" with the krakens for almost 20 years 2/7

Yeah! A thing happening in the world is called the Great Kraken War, where it is supposed a massive isolated underground sea broke into the ocean containing a deluge of Kaiju sized terror beasts that are displacing a massive amount of aquatic peoples and devastating the natural ecosystem 1/7

I got a setting I'm working on which is set in the global fantasy 1920's-30's! I keep making educational posters of that world like one would see in a museum or school.
