has it’s letters all bent over in what is clearly an egregious overuse of not very smart AI. So I dug out my CBS Fox VHS tape and had a look. It looks the same there. I’ll post it below. (Aspect ratio isn’t right, as my VHS player and modern TV don’t talk very well, but you’ll see what I mean.

If you watch it frame by frame and know just where to look, you may find some processing artefacts. You’re just as likely to find something you think is a problem but in fact it has always looked like that. Case in point: I’ve seen many complain how distorted the “Pull to Open” on the TARDIS (cont.)

I’ve got my Season 13 Collection box set now and just watched Terror of the Zygons Part One. I’m pleased to see that if you watch it on a normal player on a normal TV at normal speed you see it in the best fidelity it’s ever had. It looks fantastic. #DoctorWho #Season13

Has anyone ever tried finding out how much water immersion is necessary to get the 02 toxicity to go into "in-water" mode? Does it kick in if just your toes are immersed? Feet? Legs? Lower torso? Upper?

If this is some sort of conductivity issue, 90% of their body is in the conducting fluid in this scenario. So the effect would still be there by and large.

You coat a body part or two in a conductive paint, do an O2 chamber dive, and see if the tox symptoms come earlier. Bob's your uncle.

Mechanism guess: increased conductivity leads to accelerated production of weird oxygen species and ozone at the cellular level. All those spare electrons flying around boosts oxygen's unstable chemistry?

Dives in non-conductive water (i.e. purified water, like distilled or maybe r.o. water) might be indicative. (But no one's going to fund or allow that study)

hm. That seems to indicate these seizures aren't coming from the brain. Must be the O2's effect on the nervous system more generally, I'd think.
They have looked into "electrical" causes for this difference, yes? Air is not a great conductor, but water usually is.

oh! one more thing. On the "we don't care about O2 deco" front... have you heard about "technical freediving"? There's one area where maybe it could matter?

Like, the best bit of this was when you went further into that puzzling difference between dry and wet O2 toxicity. It's breaking my physics brain trying to work out the why of that.

Very sorry to hear of the death of Christopher H. Bidmead, who meant so much to Doctor Who fans of my generation. Science as the most important thing, numbers as magic, fiction that happens because of science. It should be cold, but it’s full of new life. What a big contribution.
