No doubt whatsoever that billionaires are evil. Can and should go without saying at this point. One (probably inconsequential) thing I try to remember about “billionaires” is that probably none of them have that much actual cash. Stock”valuations” and other nonsense to inflate their supposed wealth

Even the average person tends to forget the difficulty of extreme poverty once they’ve out of it for a short while. Poverty, much like physical pain, is a state we will do almost anything to escape but forget the true nature of once it’s gone and we forget all the more the further we are from it
Yo your point that the rich forget (if they ever knew) the actual cost of things, I believe extreme wealth is a condition that humans were never meant to experience and it damages our minds.
