Agreed. It is a big improvement over what we have mow.

What we need in the US is universal healthcare like so many other countries have.

And yet more layoffs incoming? sadly, that is probably going to happen. I know Microsoft wasn't as profitable when Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer were the CEO, but I don't recall the company having many layoffs during their eras.
