My cat Ash stepped on my iPad and activated a random Facebook ad for women’s undergarments. Now my feed is full of narcissistic octogenarian women grinding their hips and lifting their shirts to show off the enormous bras they’re modeling. Life has become a nightmare. 😫
Great reporting! (But eww, that poem…)
It would have been nice if all these people who are now saying,”Their body, their choice” about vaccines felt that way about women.
The Texas ban on THC products goes into effect today. Abbott, Patrick, and Paxton: If you’re going to raise prices to u livable levels, force women to have babies, treat brown people like animals, and endorse military takeovers, at least allow your victims to be stoned while you do it.
"In normal times, I would report insider threats to the appropriate security channels inside the government- but there is no one left for me to report it to."
Helpful context on Musk's takeover of Treasury:
Let’s hope they get results quickly. This is NOT business as usual.

The most thorough analysis I’ve read. The parallels between 1930s Germany and 2020s USA should deeply concern everyone. apple.news/ADIUqerEZTB2...
It’s a dark day. And I’m not talking about the weather.
I live in Austin, and I can tell you, they’ve already ruined it.
One of my dearest friends has 5 rules for life; #5 is “Leave no bacon behind.”
Yay!
I get a bunch of those “Your smile is so beautiful—will you be my friend?” creepy messages. But overall, this is a friendly, happy space. Welcome!
I’m in the neighborhood family restaurant, where almost everyone is watching Jimmy Carter’s funeral. Nice to know there are still some good people around.
She totally looks jolly AND merry! 🤣
My cat Ash has been shivering, so I bought her a Christmas sweater. Her reaction was less than merry.
He’s still there; I just blocked him.
Thanks for this—following her now!
All your points are accurate. It just gets worse; I’m turning 65 in a couple of weeks, and you wouldn’t believe all the Medicare notifications!

This is just the beginning of the AI history glitching, and it offends librarian-me to the core. www.theverge.com/2024/12/5/24...
I do. I live in Texas. Sigh.
I was a History major at Rice, where I was belittled by the engineering majors for being an “academ.” Went on to get an MLS, was a technical librarian, then dept head. Later opened my own consulting firm. Having a strong background in History has helped in so many ways in life. I’m very grateful.
“Ant-ics.” I’ve been a good influence! 😊
These guys look like AI versions of themselves. 🤔
Another unnecessary death. Gov. Abbott, you must be very proud of yourself. apple.news/AhzkGN_WHSjO...
I’d like one for myself.
On this Veterans’ Day, I’d like to thank all the military who went above and beyond, in often very difficult circumstances. Service takes a huge toll on physical and mental health, of both active duty and their families.
My father was a career Army officer who served in Vietnam in 1967.
The library’s parking lot was completely full, so I had to park in a little church’s lot 4 blocks away. When I came back, their lot was full too. Waited about 30 mins in line. Everyone was cheerful and excited. Yay, democracy! #IVotedEarly
