Foamcore base for a little boat

Covered in wood and next to a GW 2 person boat for ref.

Building a boat out of foam and craft wood sticks for my pending Chult campaign.
Trying to walk the line between something that looks boat shaped, but can have miniature sit non precariously on top of it.

Look, I'm not saying if GW sent me one I'd immediately paint up the entire box...

Leaders of the different demon types in my kill team. Deamonettes, Horrors and Plague Bearers.

I used that mini as an Iridescent Horror and one of the leaders of my demon kill team, many moons ago.

As its on 40k fans minds RN: If GW were to drop FemSM tomorrow, what way would be the most fun:
1: Announcement, head pack, chapter master.
2: Astarties 2 trailer, Marine removes helm and its a woman.
3: Henry Cavill holds up FemSM saying how amazing it happened in time for the series.
4: Other.

Definitely.
GW are not silly. They know there are folks hungry for FemSM heads, and that anything close will be used.
I always felt the resin Fem Stormcast heads were sold with the full awareness that they were giving FemSM conversion folks some official heads.

Some look a little fem to a given value of the term.
This is making some people overly hopeful.
Others filled with rage.
Others are stomping on the idea for fear it will take root, and looking for way to spin it as 'the woke are racists for this if you think about it'
So the usual.

Seen several of those already "This is the end result of making all female characters ugly"
I am never, not amazed by these clowns.

40k is a setting of diversity, mutation & body-mods, with tiny toy visual limitations.
Fem in the setting covers a visual gamut (see pic)even before you get to diverse gender expressions.

I would be gobsmacked if GW introduced FemSM in any way other then an actual official announcement.
If they ever actually do the dang thing, they'll prob rip the bandaid off quick and clean, get the performative nerd rage out of the way in one big hit.

My feel is that a lot of conservative types adhere to very strict, performative, gender boundaries. They have trouble factoring in actual biological diversity, or accepting that others are not beholden to the fictions of their rigid checklists.

And that's before you get to the fact that super soldier women would carry a lot of visual markers society (esp gender boxing conservative society) would view as masc, while not being the actual case.
As much as I'd like it I don't think GW is slipping us fem-heads, but they'll do just fine :)

There are women who absolutely typify what society views as fem.
But there are plenty of women, who without additional artificial societal markers for fem don't fit that narrow look. But in the end if a woman looks a certain way, ipso facto thats the way women can look.
Grandmother had no head swap.

So GW have released a big head add on pack & some of the heads can be interpreted as a bit fem.
Yay for those of us who are forever chasing such heads.
But seriously it once again shows how when stripped of artificial markers like make up, human heads are not that disparate & have a lot of overlap.

A collection of miniatures battle in a crudely drawn castle map. As a DM looks on.

The white dragon was defeated by a Fighter, Cleric, Ghost, Barbarien in giant form, plus a Wizard & Bard polymorphed into T-Rex fighting in a flying ice castle.
Thus ended Hoard of the Dragon Queen

Its a fun little thing. Note: A bunch wont work out, you need to make like twice as many as you want and cherry pick given its all pretty random.

Black Puddings, Ochre Jellies and Grey Oozes + their split smaller forms.

When I got back to Aus & started my mini collection over, my first ones were for DnD games.
At the time I needed oozes & not liking those on the market, I made my own.
I put blobs of hot glue onto a rule, suspended between 2 cups. As it cooled I flipped it over so it oozed groundward as it set.

Yeah they tend to be that way, although I don't know if they are canonically sterile.

Pencil sketching its a thing I do very rarely nowadays. The tablets my go to, and its been a while since I used pastels and did life drawing.
I sketched these out a little while back while exploring ideas for odd DnD encounters.
