Now that Republicans have done Trump's bidding by blocking limits on his war powers, remember that in doing this, they are also relieving *themselves* of the obligation to vote on the enormously consequential decision of whether to go to war. Craven abdication.

So let me see if I get this.

Trump issues tariffs which the US importer must pay and then those importers pass that cost on to me, a US taxpayer. In short, a tax on me.

SCOUTS declares the tarrif illegal and now me, the US taxpayer, is going to refund the importer the tariff plus interest.

Hey folks,

I’m looking for Rhode Island based LGBTQ activists with an urgent question for a story I’m working on. People who are directly connected to advocacy there with a good understanding of the local political environment. Please reach out via DM.

I would like for someone to ask: β€œThen why didn’t Congress act and declare war against Iran as provided for in Article I of the Constitution?”

Even putting aside the implications for the laws of war, someone who describes mass killing in this way is not well, nor is the society that empowers that person to kill.

Since early September, the United States has killed at least 150 people in 44 known strikes against boats in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific that the Trump administration has said, without providing evidence, are carrying drugs.

Legal specialists on the use of lethal force have said the strikes are illegal, extrajudicial killings, because the military cannot deliberately target civilians who do not pose an imminent threat of violence, even if they are suspected of engaging in criminal acts.

I am amazed at how we don't even talk about our country's extrajudicial killings unless it is embedded in stories about yet another military operation.

Family of man killed by off-duty ICE agent in LA demands charges: β€˜The ache will never go away’ After Renee Good’s killing in Minneapolis, calls grow for accountability in the shooting of Keith Porter Jr on New Year’s Eve

I don't believe there has been a definitive finding about what occurred. Neither the LAPD nor ICE has been clear and there are conflicting reports and no video evidence. Regardless, an ICE officer killed Keith Porter. There is no dispute about that.

For years on my old blog I published the names of servicemembers who died in Iraq & Afghanistan. No other outlets were.

These are the first 4 Americans to die in the Iran War.
Capt. Cody A. Khork, 35
Sgt. 1st Class Noah L. Tietjens, 42
Sgt. 1st Class Nicole M. Amor, 39

There are at least 4 dead Americans under her leadership. In addition to Good and Pretti, Ruben Ray Martinez (March 15, 2025) and Keith Porter (December 31, 2025) were both killed.

Listen this is some next level trolling.

It’s not just that Charlie Kirk is up there. It’s who he’s with.

Catherine Beecher, while an advocate for women’s education, also fiercely opposed women’s suffrage and wanted women’s political power to be mostly constrained to their role as mothers.

As we kick off Women's History Month, Donald Trump is hell-bent on eroding the advancements that generations of women have made.

We're making it clear to the President that we won't go back in time in Illinois β€” we're fighting for a future that moves us forward.

Iran is an evil regime and deserves to fall. But that's not a good argument for launching a war of regime change without Congress and against the will of the American people.

I remember taking a gender studies course in college and reading a book called "Choice of Heroes" about the limited roles men had available to them. Growing up when I did, I only thought of men as privileged with choices that I didn't have.

Gender studies helps liberate everyone.
