“The Black community never has our backs.” Meanwhile, Black and Indigenous people have the highest disability rates. Who is our? Maybe learn to be intersectional and stop letting your whiteness fuel your desire to disrupt conversations by centering your own experiences. That’s why we are here now!

The person you responded to wasn’t talking about Trump, they were speaking more broadly, hence the hard -er reference. Just because they reshared a post that was doesn’t mean their point was lost. I’m sad to learn that my law school classmate, Kiah Duggins, died in the DC plane crash last night.

Kiah was an exceptionally talented civil rights lawyer and aspiring legal scholar.

DEI programs and people with disabilities did not cause the midair collision in DC. Trump gutting the FAA did that.

But the DEI program Trump is trying to blame was started in 2019 — by Trump.

Okay, I’m going to stop engaging with you because you are bringing up a topic the person I was responding to was not discussing. The hard “er” is a racial reference; I’m unsure why you are overlooking that, but I see why people say BlueSky has white liberal energy 😩.

The poster said DEI was a way for people to say the hard er, that’s a race reference. That’s not to say that anti-DEI rhetoric is not used to be ableist, sexist, homophobic, etc, but when someone is called a “DEI mayor” for example, I can make assumptions about their race. Largely is accurate.

Working on a grant application and mid-draft, I’m notified by a colleague that the CDC’s social vulnerability index tool has been removed from their site. For a party who claims they want a small government, they are taking big efforts to suppress essential training, documents, and resources.

I honestly think Caste made them sit up in their chairs, then when Juneteenth became a federal holiday, it was all downhill from there.

i think it is important to say that the open and explicit racism of the president and the vice president isn’t just uncouth or “controversial” but a direct attack on tens of millions of americans and a dereliction of their duty to represent the entire country
