The people who need to read this won't, but I'm going to say it anyway:

Allowing a political party (and blind loyalty) to dictate your humanity and how you choose to think/educate yourself is delusional, actively choosing ignorance when the WORLD is at your fingertips is SO embarrassing.

It's okay to feel angry, scared, hopeless, frustrated, exhausted, even numb. But don't lose your passion. Please take breaks. Staying informed is important; so is rest.

What a privilege it must be to look around at what's happening in the world and just not give a fuck.

This year has been full of loss, grief, health issues (for myself, my family and our dog), moving, financial burden, and it's just been too much.

I want to move forward. Plan for our wedding. Spend time with friends and family. Be happy.

I hope 2026 is kinder to all of us.

Every year, I say and hope that the next year will be better. "This will be my year!"

But after 2025 being one of the hardest years of my life, at this point, I just want 2026 to be boring and soft. I'm tired of being in survival mode. Give me a year of quiet, uneventful, and kind.

I told my community I would be spending December trying to save/push to be medical debt free before the end of the year.

After having this ongoing debt for years, as of this weekend, I am now $483 away from being medical debt free for the first time in my adult life. SO FUCKING CLOSE. 😭🎉

In the last 18 months, I've spent over $20,000 on medical/health related costs for my chronic illness — supplies, medication, doctors, procedures, and more. I have about $2,000 left and I can FINALLY put this behind me.

I've been fighting so hard for myself, and I am so tired.

I've been paying on my own (basically no coverage, despite insurance) for 2 years—my medical supplies/insulin costing me hundreds a month, doctors visits, procedures, etc. I've spent over $17K in that time to LIVE.

My insulin pump has been out of warranty since the start of 2024—since then, I've been fighting with insurance companies and healthcare system for supplies I need to SURVIVE???
