I don’t think the beak is the size of his head. I really need to look at those photos more carefully. Tail feather-the white ones. The white ones have spotted black on it then that is a Downy.

I have cameras all over my yard on the ground, under plants, and I’ve never seen this Warbler until this morning when the camera fell. 🤣

I feel this is serendipitous for me to see this beautiful warbler in only one place because the camera fell down to the ground. How lucky!

Hello everyone! Luckily I got one more capture this evening.
If you look, there is leaf litter on the ground there’s a flat round stone in the middle and then the warbler comes from the right and kind of goes to the left. There’s a lot of deadwood in this area too, this camera fell from a branch. 🪶

He’s still here right now, I hear him, but can’t see him but I noticed more birds on the camera earlier in the day. Also Shawn, I just found out too that we’re having a wild fire smoke event so the air quality is moderate. I think both those things are causing the birds to lie low this afternoon.

The Jay hops in and out of the mini pond she takes a half hearted bath. There’s wild ginger growing in front of this pond. There’s also trees surrounding it lots of leaf litter and dead wood.

Well, I’m a little late to notice because I was gone for the day but it seems like we’re having a bit of wildfire smoke so our air quality isn’t good. Another reason the #birds are lying low today.

Junco parent comes over to feed a juvenile Dark Eyed Junco. In the background is the wildlife pond.

The juvenile is standing on a rock, the parent and the juvenile touch mouth four times. #Birds then the parent goes off to the right.

Yes, maybe a female everyone is saying…. I normally only see them during migration.

#AltText The Jay is at the bath that I made very shallow for the small birds. It has a wire dome over it. It has rocks and sticks in the birdbath, but she hears the Cooper’s Hawk. She goes ahead and tries to take a quick bath. She normally would be at the wildlife pond.

I just got home for the day and came home to the sound of a Cooper’s Hawk in the yard. I am celebrating because Hawks are essential. The birds are all Line low and there’s a bit of fire smoke in the air. hope everyone is having a good day today. Steller’s Jay is laying low using the hidden bath.

I’m surprised to see her here this early. I do get them for a few days each spring and autumn during migration.

Sorry I was somewhere without Wi-Fi so I messed this post up. This is a little blue gray and yellow bird with a white eye ring that is briefly on the ground. Looks at the camera and then takes off. It all happens in a couple seconds there’s leaf litter and some rocks on the ground. #AltText

#AltText Here is Downey woodpecker at the log today. This log is half in the water half out of the water at the wildlife pond. There’s some sun on the pond in the background trees and plants are around this area and a lot of deadwood and rocks. #Birds
He stops at the water briefly before taking off.
