Flicker takes a bath today at the wildlife pond.

First, it looks like sheโ€™s clearing the water for where she wants to bathe but maybe sheโ€™s just getting used to the temperature #Birds

imagine trying to get Congress to sign onto this? first, we have to pledge to only vote for people into Congress, who promised to do two terms or one term. there has to be some sort of oath is binding.

Iโ€™ve read about that. what I do with invasive species is I try to kill them humanely if theyโ€™re killing other native species. Itโ€™s really a sad thing we have to do but we have to protect the native species and this is not a racist post. All humans are the same species.

21% of urban falcon deaths are caused by window collisions. ๐ŸชŸ

Birds struggle to see clear glass, adding markings or special films can make windows visible and save lives.

itโ€™s hard to describe his feeder what it is is two pieces of resin that are brown and look like bark and then it screws apart and in the middle between the two planks you add suet of peanut butter these birds, love plain tallow suet. They leave if i put peanut butter in.

can you see on the right there is a Stellerโ€™s Jay getting it out of this โ€œbarkโ€ feeder also?

Itโ€™s gray and misty. Thereโ€™s cars on the right behind the Jay going by in the background because this is urban habitat. #Birds

sorry my altext showed my political bias
I need to stick to providing alltext to non-political photos

Weโ€™ve really lost control of blue sky. It used to be that everyone provided altext and if you couldnโ€™t, someone did it for you.

Itโ€™s interesting to me that youโ€™re asking the person who needs AltText to reach out to the administration in a different way

think about that a little more

yes, I agree this altext disappointing. Heโ€™s smiling and laughing with mostly democratic insiders. It looks like heโ€™s serving food. They all have black gloves on no masks as if the poor donโ€™t deserve their food to be germ-free.

here is a white crowned sparrow and then thereโ€™s a crazy squirrel running by.
I am told that eastern gray squirrels were so much better at everything that they caused the extinction (local extinction) of our native squirrels but our native squirrels need trees, not concrete.

I donโ€™t know whatโ€™s going on with the squirrels in my yard. These are eastern gray squirrels. We donโ€™t have any native squirrels in this city limits of Seattle. Someone brought these here a century ago. they seem to be chasing the #birds here is a squirrel and the spotted towhee gets out of the way.

thatโ€™s so awful. I hope thatโ€™s a minority, but as someone who is older and an anti-zionist Jew many of us have felt unwelcome by the Jewish community. it feels like for many Jews their religion is Zionism rather than Judaism.

The United States is creating chaos, war crimes and genocides all over the world. we live within the system -we benefit from it: jobs, shelter, products. None of these are clean of this madness our gov perpetuates no matter who is in office. We must fight to end itโ€ฆbecause who can if not us?

This full shot of a scrub jay on a bird feeder shows the bird in profile, facing left, with its body angled slightly toward the viewer. The bird's head and neck are a deep blue, fading into a lighter blue on its back and wings. Its chest is a soft, off-white, and there's a faint patch of dusty brown on its belly. The bird's dark, beady eye is visible, and its sharp, pointed beak is slightly open. Its black talons grip the edge of a blue metal bird feeder, which is splattered with various seeds and nuts. In the soft-focus background, green grass and trees are visible under an overcast sky.

Our California ๏ฟผ Scrub Jays donโ€™t visit the camera feeders very often, but I love it when they do. They seem to prefer the suet and the woodpecker feeders. #Birds #California #Nature. #Sonoma

Crow early today at the wildlife pond. (Song Sparrow is purposely absent) #Birds
The crow is either drinking or dipping food in the pond on the left hand side. My house is in the background. Itโ€™s kind of blurry on the left-hand side also from rain.
