My statement on tonight's State of the Union address:

Trump is lying about making healthcare more affordable – he’s skyrocketed costs for millions of Americans and is making us sicker.

His Big Ugly Bill has already forced tens of thousands of Washingtonians to lose their health insurance.

Now, millions are unable to access the care they need. Trump’s policies have failed American families.

Make no mistake – for around 10% of the cost of his billionaire handouts, Trump could have extended the critical health care tax credits that helped millions of hardworking Americans afford their insurance.

I want Trump to know that I won’t stand idly by and allow Congress to rubber-stamp his dangerous policies that make life harder for my constituents.

I’m attending the State of the Union with my guest, Dr. Rebecca Partridge, a pediatrician from Washington State, to bring attention to the immense damage the Trump Administration has done to our nation’s health care system by gutting key programs and stripping away care for millions of Americans.
