Biere de Saison, from The Kernel Brewery London. A sour cherry beer brewed with British sour cherries. The bottle is brown and pictureless. The beer itself is transparent, headless, and pink, altho the photo makes it look much more yellow than it is in real life.

Ah yes, the first appearance of a beer made with... more traditional methods. Which infallibly means it has some vinegary notes, which this does. For being brewed with actual cherries, the cherries aren't very pronounced. Beats an IPA, I guess?

The label also has a picture of a sheep in a baseball jersey, baseball cap, and catcher's mitt, and is pitching a baseball. Brewed by Baa Baa Brewhouse from Brookshire, TX. The beer looks like a light purple milkshake - no head whatsoever.

So to my palette, "brewed with grape + fluff" reads as "this is a grape soda float". I'm not a big grape soda guy, but I found it tasty, it has a interesting texture, and overall enjoyed it. Since I'm never going to Texas, I'll never have it again!

Sadly, I fear the Maneater Legion has finished its 2025 tournament season; unless I schlep it to Wycombe, to Worcester, or to Ipswich with a conscript for doubles, there just aren't any viable tournaments left this year.

Finished the weekend with a good solid thrashing from some vampires, which reassured me about the efficacy of a Crimson Keep army in the new year.

Ended the weekend placed 19/26, and bereft of any trophies, but a good time was had by all. I may well return to Milton Keynes...

I've been out of the stoner game for a while, so I don't know prices... would that be a more expensive army than actual GW models or not?

I get the impression there's not a culture of vetting wacky proxies at this venue; I imagine that's a thing they'll be getting a fair whack of feedback on.

The super-lazy way of doing that is by waving my #TheManeaterLegion hashtag at you, and saying "most of that"!

The IndieBeer "It's A Tart Life" sour beer advent calendar. Basically a cardboard box with 24 wrapped up beers, featuring both bottles and cans. Now that my inexplicable viral moment seems to be petering off, we seem to have landed at nine times more likes than my previous top post, and still no idea what actually happened.

This must be the sort of thing that gives social media managers panic attacks.

It's either that or that post made it onto some list... but what benefit does anyone doing it get? I'm not following anyone who's mass-liking one random post, it clutters their Likes tab, and I don't get any benefit beyond One Big Number!

I'm not sure about large tournaments in general, but the one you're referencing REALLY needed a venue change - literally the only virtue it had was its size.

I'm sorry, visually-impaired friends, I'm not sure how much you'll get out of this entirely visual gag. Don't worry, you're not missing much... nor were you missing much from the "leaked picture of a new Ogre model".

Another really bad leak? I can work with this...
