Today's #diecast #DeskCar is the Hot Wheels '70 Dodge Charger (2017 Experimotors). Originally released as part of the Fast and the Furious line, it will be the car for Snake-Eyes. I just need to apply a matte varnish to dull down the shine. Paint over the red chrome rims and slap on some some guns.

A little over 50 cars were in the order from Poshmark. A pretty good deal as I like most of these cars and while I did have some of these castings, I only had a few true duplicates.

The most interesting one is a Matchbox Burnin' Key Car Nissan 300Z. And the most disappointing one is the Poop King, it didn't have the port-a-potties

I've got a pile of #diecast to go through. It's my order from Poshmark. But, I deliberately held off so that I don't get distracted from the work i need to do.

Started on the 2nd drone for the Mishkin team. Took quite a bit of time for me to figure out the armor housing for the camera and weapon.

@lionofflanders.bsky.social - I think this weapon maintains the low profile and sleek silhouette of the cyberpunk vehicle. Keeping the shoulder stock is a little weird, but it helps with the mounting.

I cleaned up the freehand with a marker, I can draw a bit straighter that way

Today's #diecast #DeskCar is the Hot Wheels'70 Chevelle SS (2012 HW Racing). First off, I am really digging the Team Hot Wheels livery. This will be the car for Scarlett and the loadout will have to include a harpoon as the crossbow from her original 1982 release.

That's kinda where I'm leaning, brother. Just gotta think through how this will look on the other vehicles for this team and consider using a bit that will look like an integrated weapon.

Almost done with the painting. Not great freehand, might replace them with painted plasticard bits. Also, the side vents being black is distracting.

Biggest block is mounted weapon or not? I like the profile of the car without the big gun.

Snow outside means brush on primer.

Trying out new builds with #Gaslands giveaway cars has less pressure to get it just right. I'm more relaxed and less critical. I don't get as frustrated.

I'm also willing to let things go, like open gaps. I'll perfect those things when I do my personal builds.

Added armor panels, camera/sensors and a roof mounted weapon to the vehicle. Will add armor panels to the sides (where the gorilla face is). The windshield front and sides will be painted over, so it looks like armor.

The Hot Wheels Phantom Racer (2005 Gorilla Attack Playset) is the base I'm using for this conversion.

First time I'm using plasticard and it's really fun to work with. The concept here are drone cars from Mishkin for the #Gaslands Death Race Demo. I'm building what I think of as cyberpunk armor panels and will add more on the sides. There are two cameras/sensors mounted on the front of the vehicle.

M guess is that not giving a shit about anyone else cuts both ways. You're happy because other people mean nothing to you, but when you don't get what you want, you throw a tantrum.

Today's #diecast #DeskCar is the Hot Wheels '65 Mercury Comet Cyclone (2025 HW Gassers 5-Pack). It will be the car for Stalker for my GI Joe Recon Squad (Rutherford). After much deliberation, I settled on muscle cars with a higher stance to better match the mostly trucks in the 82nd JOEs team.

Yeah, I might just go and get that pack just for the Hornet. I can always convert the four doubles as giveaway cars, I guess.

Just booked my table for the diecast meet this weekend. I'm not going to have the dice tower finished in time, but plan to have prize cars for all 12 sponsors ready. Also, I hope to run more than one game this time.

My completed models on the morning of March 2nd. The air is crisp and chilly and the cars feel like cold steel.

I place my recently completed models on the window sill by my bed at night. I like reviewing them before I go to bed and checking them in the daylight. I want to see spots I can improve, but mostly it's a ritual.

On days like today, I especially like how the cold metal feels in my hands.

Yup! '16 Lamborghini Centenario Roadster from the 2025 Multipack Exclusives

Every year, Warden Cadeila ships some unfortunates from the People's Penitentiary to the #Gaslands Death Race Demo. Sealed inside their vehicles, no one knows why they were picked to compete in the Demo. The only thing that is certain is that the prisoners have a very slim chance of survival.

Finished the fifth and final replacement for the #Gaslands Death Race Demo. With this Lamborghini Centenario Roadster the line up of the first group is once again complete.

The color and deco on that El Segundo Coupe is one of the best they've used for the casting
