Nasi lemak is a personal fave of mine because I love how the coconut rice pairs with the chilli and the fried sides. Rendang is another good one as well!
Oooh yes yes. I highly recommend trying it out. You can try the different styles of rice too! (Nasi Minyak, Nasi lemak) if they have it :> the flavours are different
Sulevin's bringing a flask of vegetarian soup/broth starter from his Grandmother (capital G. because shes a hag. her specialty is perpetual stews/soups)
And I've got to let Irani in on this one. She is enough bringing potato pierogi with fried onions to put everyone in a carb coma.

He brings a box of dates, a little sampler box of teas he enjoys (for Xvi and Halsin), and a big box of pisang goreng.

Xvi is so happy to invite Courage for her first buka puasa! He’s going to assume she lives up to her name and set down some ikan pari bakar (stingray grilled in banana leaf) and sotong masak hitam (squid cooked in its own ink). Wash it down with some kopi cincau (coffee with grass jelly)!
Please put all of Xvi’s kids into a carb coma he can finally get some SLEEP.
Irani is offered some nasi lemak (coconut rice) with sambal tumis udang (spicy prawns) and begedil (potato fritters). They both get to wash down the spice with bandung! (Rose flavoured drink w milk!)
Mushroom stew!! Ria’s pot gets put next to the rice so everyone can help themselves, and they’ll get a nice heaping dish of lontong sayur lodeh (rice cakes in veggie coconut curry) and bendi goreng belacan (okra fried in a chilli sauce).
Crying I love this. Xvi would be so happy with the dates and the goreng pisang would be SNATCHED UP.
Cedric and Gale get ketupat with his secret sambal kelapa recipe that he spent way too much time on (he made Halsin grate the coconut and Astarion pick out the fish bones). + sirap limau!
Arabella and Daria can come and learn to be feral at Xvi’s place 😭
But Xvi also has his lil princess parties ngl bc /he/ is a pretty princess and he wants to have some nice not crazy running around forest hours too.
Hell YEAH. Fave uncle status acquired. Xvi WILL make sure Cedric has a steady supply of god children to come over and help him and Gale at home with odds and ends.
They rly little gremlins Xvi asking Shart to cast sanctuary on ppl so the kiddos cannot bother them 💀
Sinee will get a happy little shriek and watch as it all gets snatched up by small little hands 😭 Xvi’s kids inherited his sweet tooth but Xvi tells her it’s fine and makes her sit down before plopping down some nasi minyak and sambal udang. Faster makan!
Cedric is invited to the grove any time to come see the absolute zoo of children they have (semi literal bc you know some of these little gremlins will learn to wildshape from papa Halsin)

Xvi is absolutely going to turn up in appropriately themed wear. He’ll discuss with his friends who celebrate to know what traditional wear they have and then show up in a hanfu after some consulting. Him, Halsin and Astarion will be bringing a stupid amount of food and fruit.
