In Singapore people kept telling me "you're so lucky with the weather! It was much hotter last week!" I was like 🫠🫠🫠 (literally melting, my weak Canadian body could not handle the heat).

I believe Disney optioned the book around the time they did A Wrinkle in Time, but it never came to anything. I’d genuinely love to see a new adaptation.

Wow!

Some authors are so good at explaining their choices! I am in awe of them! “This felt right” or “this felt like what a character would feel & how they would emotionally respond to this moment” is … so unsatisfying. “Why did it feel right?” It just did. Sometimes that changes, sometimes it doesn’t.

This always hits at public facing events, but something I wish I was better at is talking about my comics. I don’t mean explaining them, I mean talking about my creative process and why I make certain story decisions. Ultimately it comes to down to “this felt right to me.”

Good way to describe it:slick but empty. The authenticity of the earlier seasons (s5-10 are legit some of the best television of all time imo) is really lost. I miss it!

Modern seasons of Drag Race as a whole kinda depress me. A shadow of the show's greatness.
