Im reading through the series for the first time myself, right now. I recently started book 4. It's been a great read so far.

I only see "Reading the card explains the card" as a sarcastic answer any more, used only when reading the card obviously does NOT explain the card.

I've been asked "How do you get there from Des Moines?"

Went to a Pride in the Park event with the kiddo. There were a couple of homophonic protesters there, trying to shout at kids about sin. At the park, there were craft stations, a bouncy house, and families if all sorts just enjoying being in community together.

Imagine being so filled with hate that you feel the need to protest a bouncy house.

Interesting design, I don't think I had ever seen this card. Looks fun to play with, but probably predates strategies that thrive on an engine like this being viable, and too slow & costly now to see play in many decks.
