Can’t help but admire her… she helped build an empire now she’s forging a legacy

When they arrived legally less than 5 years ago they will have paid huge fees to the Home Office to stay & be on a legal path towards their right to remain next year, would the journalist care to comment on whether the fees should be returned? Probably hasn’t bothered to do his research on that 🫣

Yep no one cares Michelle- show us the money (returned) & you probably owe the bereaved families settlements each too for providing defective equipment. Narcissists talk about being victims #justsay

For example- if you arrive in on a spouse visa- you pay a 3 year upfront fee for accessing NHS & then when you get a job you are also paying for the NHS like the rest of the working population through taxes, but you don’t get priority access even though you are making a double payment essentially

I hope you don’t mind me respectfully asking- what improvements have they made? And (probably not a question for you) why aren’t they shouting about it? Where are the comms? Also don’t get me started on how the Home Office Comms Dept are letting us all down by refusing to issue facts on immigration

Thank god for someone sensible! My goodness, what on earth were Labour doing as the party in waiting? Nothing apparently, they should have been looking at the issues- health, education, infrastructure & creating Labour policies around those. Deform have 5 seats, who cares? But these moves by the HO🫣

They can’t do it legally- it goes against the Brexit agreement

What? He’s not thought this through? Shocking 😮 not like he has a pattern for this type of behaviour or anything. More bla

People going through immigration and paying thousands to do so to ensure they are fulfilling all the requirements will need refunds if this happens… can someone say that to him? Once you pay into the system with a determined track to right to remain if that changes the understood contract is broken

I know! Remember Nick Griffin was shunned 10-15 years ago, that wouldn’t happen now. It’s so sad how much the pendulum has swung against kindness, care & compassion for others & how misinformation is running rampant. It’s truly worrying

I don’t disagree… I would hate to be in his position having to manage round him. On this occasion perhaps not pitching it right…. But it’s a tricky one. I can’t believe this is politics in 2025 it’s unbelievable that things have gone so wrong

I agree but what way do you deal with him to get the best outcome? It’s the perennial question when dealing with difficult people

If it helps he looked greatly reduced in that interview, possibly broken. He’s not the bouncy boy he was in 2010 the last 15 years show on his entitled, bitter wee face, stroppy wee thing

Such a cringe interview, he came across horribly. I hope he really reflects on his behaviour

You are right, it’s only been 12 months & there is always a lag in these things & devolution complicates things (I’m in NI). They came to power at a time when we were all deeply frustrated & progress feels slow & not always in the right direction- DWP & WFP so thank you for pointing out the benefits

Think it will take a while before we all *feel* more optimistic… At my company we haven’t had a payrise since April 23 & where I live isn’t counted in the dentist targets… Still feels like they are tinkering rather than having well considered deliverable policies, but perhaps that’s harsh

Also remember that Steve Martin & Diane Keaton were 45 when they did Father of the Bride & they looked super super old….
Have fun at with the speech giving, inspiring to hear from those who went before us 🥰

The Uk should also have a system where Westminster parties who expect to be in power should stand in all constituencies- Labour never stand in one of the nations which doesn’t feel like democracy for those of us who live here

No, MPs have not legalised abortion to birth The USification of British political discourse continues apace

No, MPs haven't legalised abortion up to birth. That lie was spread on X by many who should know better. The change is about saving a handful of vulnerable women from trauma and prison. Women about whom those people do not even think.

Happened a friend of mine… she walked away, she said she didn’t have it & also didn’t want to buy a house from people who behave that way

Always vote the Green Party! Labour don’t stand in one of the 4 nations & yet dictate what happens to us here. It’s not right

He gets too much airtime to talk w/ zero resistance to the implications of what he’s actually hysterically saying- he didn’t have a post-Brexit plan- no one asked him persistently about that & again he has zero plan if he gets this one through. Can the public broadcaster stop giving him a platform?
