the SteamVR keyboard is just so unfathomably ass I've now switched over to this free alternative called YuuBoard yuuzami.itch.io/yuuboard

Launch once and it replaces the default keyboard. much faster, more keys, lighter weight than overlays like XS for when u just want to use the built-in overlay

w t fff this is mindboggling. Orion and VRSL are definitely OG and im sure the foundation of so many clubs and people still going today

okay good tip, i'll try more earplugs. but it's still so silly we all gotta do this when venues could just turn it down

I swear everyone who goes to irl clubs has severe hearing loss. the one reason I still much prefer VR. earplugs just kill the music for me 😭

lilToon (poiyomi works better though imo)
- set rendering to Transparent
- Advanced > Distance Fade
- set Strength to 1, color alpha to 0, min distance/max distance

my poiyomi distance fade settings

Poiyomi
- set rendering to Cutout or Transparent
- Colors > Alpha Options > Enable Distance Alpha
- set Min Distance Alpha to near-zero, Max Distance Alpha to 1
- set Min Distance/Max Distance until it looks good while moving camera around
- optionally enable Dithering

I think toggles are best, but there's also a neat feature in Poiyomi and lilToon called distance fade where u can make an object completely disappear when you get close enough. it could help for smaller props/tails that u don't want to toggle
