Cancelled out by the #Greens losing a council seat to the #LibDems in Vale of White Horse. Not sure I'd call that a spectacular win, but bigger margin of victory than Liverpool 😉

Applying this policy to people already in the UK is particuarly self defeating as they can… just claim asylum anyway. In fact, if arguably forces some to do so who might not have otherwise because they had an alternative legal route available. giftarticle.ft.com/giftarticle/...
I’m shocked, stunned etc.
Meanwhile, everywhere else around the world assumes Australia has cracked it and are rushing to copy their law.
Did the nonexistent interviewee also say she is worried about an asylum center in her neighborhood
“barriers [to membership] are primarily political: a pragmatic calculation of when the costs of remaining outside finally exceed the benefits of the status quo. In the current security environment… that inflection point may be approaching more rapidly than anticipated”

Anti-Trans Health Secretary & Labour leadership hopeful Wes Streeting claims his segregation of trans people in the NHS are to “protect (cis) women”.
Yet he brought Palantir into the NHS, something that its CEO has now admitted will specifically harm cis women.
Streeting and Palantir must go.
BREAKING: ‘We will not tolerate unfair practices including price gouging'
Energy Secretary Ed Miliband speaks to #BBCBreakfast about whether energy firms are profiteering from rising price of oil & the competition watchdog is primed to step in to prevent petrol price "rip-offs"
Reform voters… be warned.
Politicians who promise you prejudice will always make sure you pay for it.
I saw someone on here post that they lived in the "LibDem (elected) dictatorship of Oxfordshire" 😄
WHY did I have to keep going down this path? Nate Cavanaugh was part of DOGE outing Mohammed Halimi, who was exiled from Afghanistan.
DOGE accused Halimi of sending money to the Taliban through his work at the Institute for Peace.
The Taliban then kidnapped Halimi’s family.
Cancelled out I'm afraid by LibDem gain from Greens: bsky.app/profile/nath...
Alongside a LibDem gain from Greens in Vale of White Horse!

3️⃣ This makes a hat-trick of wins for the Lib Dems - (Thurs 12th March) 3️⃣
Penrith South by-election result:
🔶 JAYSON, Barbara, Liberal Democrats 749 (Elected)
Green Party - 225
ReformUK - 588
Conservative Party - 174
Turnout - 23.51%
Alt text: a long list of Starmer's broken pledges, his pre-election lies.
#LibDems have had great local elections for some years, but media ignores.
In 2025, we overtook Tories to lead more councils than them and won more byelections than Reform (106 vs 104).
Green poll surge hasn't translated to elections yet, but that may now change eg in a no of London boroughs.
Excellent to see @eddavey.libdems.org.uk supporting Trans+ rights.
Lib Dem support for Trans Rights 🏳️⚧️ has been strong and steady and repeatedly backed by members at Conferences.
Please share and support. The more the trans community knows people are trying to help in these dark times the better💜

Only someone who doesn't cook would waste garlic like this.....
Labour MP & former pollster Chris Curtis: “I can always tell when a party is on the ropes, because they start lashing out at pollsters. Farage is just the latest to look at a bad poll and decide the fault lies with the tape measure, not the waistline”
SCOOP: Nigel Farage has written to YouGov complaining about Reform coming out lower in their polling. Letter below.
Some explanation in next post ...
Wouldn't the funniest move be to defect to the Lib Dems until they have enough MPs to depose the Tories as the Opposition?
23 is the magic number!
If the #Tories lose 23 MPs to the #LibDems, that would result in 93 Tory MPs and 95 LibDems
[I think that is extremely unlikely 😉]
Farage makes claims that he’s going to do something, then says he hasn’t. He’s been doing it for so long it’s not really a surprise but his moronic followers either know that he’s lying and don’t mind, or even worse believe him.

First Past the Post can no longer deliver real mandates - only chaos. 60% of Brits want it scrapped.
Yet the Representation of the People Bill won’t even touch our voting system, which leaves millions unrepresented.
Tell Keir Starmer to change this.
actionnetwork.org/petitions/th...
More examples of fractures in Reform, which even if ppl don't want to call it a fracture, FARAGE STILL WANTS YOU TO PAY FOR AN INSURANCE MODEL OF THE NHS.
If people think for one moment he wouldn't profit from this, please ask them to explain how he would ensure he wouldn't even indirectly.
LibDem leader Ed Davey was at TransMission this week:

And this is important. The Tories, now Labour, are slipping this under the radar, under our notice-our data, being gleaned by Palantir, in the NHS, education, the military. It’s shocking, we should be shouting about it.
I'm really glad to see that @eddavey.libdems.org.uk attended this and got up on stage.
The Lib Dems are clear: Trans Rights are Human Rights
