Applying this policy to people already in the UK is particuarly self defeating as they can… just claim asylum anyway. In fact, if arguably forces some to do so who might not have otherwise because they had an alternative legal route available. giftarticle.ft.com/giftarticle/...

#LibDems have had great local elections for some years, but media ignores.
In 2025, we overtook Tories to lead more councils than them and won more byelections than Reform (106 vs 104).
Green poll surge hasn't translated to elections yet, but that may now change eg in a no of London boroughs.
