I can taste the salt air already!
That reminds me, I really need to get a properly fitting pair of swim trunks this year!
I fear I may wither away *dramatic fainting*
In the end, I was able to get a full hysto + ovaries in August, and the persistent pain that never went away even after excision is now gone. Turns out I had adenomyosis, too!
Surgery is supposed to be the gold standard care. It's so frustrating that they're so hesitant! You might only get a few months, but you could also get YEARS!
And when I say symptoms came back, I mean, just starting. I was still able to function with medication.

Potatoes are fantastic!
I was saying to a pal last week somewhere that while I am NOT the marrying type, should I ever be hoodwinked into it, I’m having a potato bar.
Which I then realized I should just have a party with a potato bar?? It’d be cheaper and actually doable 😂
I always forget to post a link to my profile. Feel free to read my very unserious and mediocre reviews

Nooooo it gets pretty great! It’s on Tubi in Canada atm, not sure if it’s there for you or not.
Like really my biggest complaint is that Tarantino is in it, and admittedly my rating is unfairly low because of him. But <redacted> <redacted>, which was a funny scene
🏃♀️posted!
I finally had some time to get through some movies recently! #LetterboxdFriday
Oh yeah! It's Friday and I've recently watched movies!
👀
Recognizing that not all criticisms are equally valid or need to be addressed has been a huge growth point for me
I'm so sorry. It's so stressful!! I know we're closer to this point than I'd like to think about..
Omg no!
She’s a free fed cat, always been a grazer. Extremely NOT food motivated, which makes this even more challenging 😅
Restorative justice is a good idea in principle but if it becomes a tool to help corrupt cops evade public consequences, citizens' confidence in it is going to wane quickly.
An unnamed Cape Breton cop will go through the province's restorative justice program, rather than face charges and a trial, after an investigation revealed he stole from a Glace Bay home while executing a search warrant, says a press release from SIRT spokesperson Khalehla Perrault.
There was one flavour of BFF she’d eat, but then she started refusing it D:
But yeah, our vet is also of the “whatever she’ll eat is good enough” mindset. She lost weight last time she got sick and is around 6 pounds now. It’s been an uphill battle to get weight back on..
This is fierce as fuck. 🙌💪👇
Dealing with a Very Senior who is so beyond stuck in his ways has me ready to scream 😅
Today I went to work with pain that truly would take so many people down and out. But after more than 25 years of it, it is all too normal to me. Like anyone with endometriosis, getting treatment has been almost impossible. Thankful for @claudiachenderns.bsky.social speaking on this.
I had excision surgery under Dr. Randle and I had a solid good few months, maybe a year before symptoms started to return. That was the longest I had ever gone without pain since *puberty*. Without that surgery, I would have had to go on disability, I was in so much pain.
Weirdly, I put down some urinary tract kibble from a free sample Blue Ribbon gave me last time she went on a food strike and she munched a tiny bit of it! Probably bad for her kidneys, but fed is best at this point. It's more important she eat SOMEthing. Food she'll eat is a very, very tiny list.
Life with a kidney cat who was already extremely fussy before kidney disease, which makes them even fussier.
She seems to be totally off her single flavour of Fancy Feast. I moved to Whitefish & Tuna from Friskies. Now she's refusing THAT. Will eat Salmon by Friskies, but worried..
(NO advice)
I remember
how on this day
six years ago
I ran into a friend
at the supermarket
as we both prepared
to start quarantining
I remember she asked:
“are you ready?”
and though I forget
exactly how I replied
if I could go back
I would tell her:
“none of us are.”
Thanks! :)
I left the most tedious one for last 😅 lots of reading, theory, and role playing as a project manager
Taking another one right now, then it's the final project in September, which I think is an 8 week long one. Then that's it!
