Still not sure if we need Medicare for All?
PAPER PLANET: “While Trump gutted food stamps for the poor and disabled, Hegseth ran up the largest single-month bill in history… $93.4 Billion in September… $6.9 million on lobster tails… they told you there’s no money for health care, there’s plenty.”

This is an actual post from the official White House account. We’re being trolled by fifteen-year-old boys playing computer games.
Could America please be known for something else?
Turning the world over to madmen. That is what is happening. Madmen.
Children killed, a school turned into a graveyard: even in wartime, we can’t accept this | Gordon Brown

Loss of filter for inappropriate languge.
DOGE said it was cutting government waste.
So they gutted USAID — the agency that feeds starving people around the world.
Meanwhile the Pentagon spent millions on lobster, ribeye, and even a $98,000 piano.

Apart from the moral repugnance, this is so revealing of how ignorant conservatives are about poverty. Poor people have to think about money ALL THE TIME. They worry constantly about what everything costs, how to substitute one purchase for another, what bill can be put off until payday, etc.
Sen. Murray: "I'm just sickened by this. To go into this war unprepared, to use outdated data, and to have this horrific thing happen where children were killed in a school sends a horrible message to those that are in a war with us and to our own constituents about what America's values are."
NEW: The Iranian drone strike that killed 6 U.S. troops in Kuwait at the start of the war was far more devastating than previously disclosed.
Dozens suffered traumatic brain injuries, burns, and shrapnel wounds. At least one required an amputation. More than 30 remain hospitalized. (CBS News)

Sen. Rick Scott in 2022: “The buck stops with one person. Joe Biden made your gas prices go up. He did it. He actually did it.”
Scott today, 14 months after Trump took over: "Unfortunately, [gasoline] prices are gonna be up for a while."
Imagine the progress could be making as a country if we didn’t have to spend so much time, energy, and resources fighting Trump’s wars and defending our freedom from his power grabs.
After watching this shit show in Iran can we now agree that maybe having academics isn’t a bad thing?
This is silly and false. The only operators of Tomahawk missiles are the U.S. Navy, Royal Australian Navy, Royal Netherlands Navy and Royal Navy. Iran has no Tomahawk missiles. If it did, it’d have no way to launch them.

Rand Paul: "I think we've gotten overextended. This is our second war in a month, and these wars are very very expensive not only in the lives that are lost, but also in treasure. I'm very very concerned about the debt. Half a trillion dollars for the military budget is fiscally irresponsible."
The response is….comprehensive.

New in PN: The bombing of Iranian children is an unforgivable crime
"American disinterest in the lives of people abroad is a resource politicians use to justify cynical wars. It's hard to see on what moral grounds we claim a right to decide the fate of those about whom we clearly care so little."
