You can see Unai was keen to protect him when he came off. He actually made a beeline to him. To reassure him. Thought he looked decent. Needs minutes and confidence.

You can feel the momentum building towards if he came back that all else would be forgotten. If it’s going to happen it happens this summer. Would he want it? If Unai wants it it happens?

I’m up for kicking the tyres. Ball retention has been a problem for us. He offers us a lot of that and his ability to go past players. If he can do it still? Wonder about the injuries and how they are impacting him. I was surprised when we saw him at VP earlier in the season by a lack of pace!

Some big performances from some of the more unheralded players. Thought Matty Cash was outstanding! Euro Villa again!

Just shows how difficult it is to find an elite centre back who can do both. Ty’s comeback over the past 2 months is remarkable. Playing at a high level. I’d expect to see Ty and Ez play at Wembley next Saturday against Mateta.
