I live over an hour from Lancaster. When I was in high school, I was in youth group and we went camping in Lancaster on our head’s ranch he owned, my fondest memory flying off an ATV going over a mount and flying 7-8 ft. To my surprise, I didn’t break any bones.

Really wasn’t enough time at all, even though he did live beyond the breeds typical lifespan (12-15 years).

At least I got to be with him in his final moments, and he went out peacefully.

“Give him your heart and he’ll give you his. How many people can you say that about? How many people can make you feel rare and pure and special? How many people can make you feel extraordinary?”

Today, my precious boy Jack crossed the rainbow bridge.

We had a wonderful 18 years together. I knew our time together wasn’t going to last forever, but I’m grateful for the years we did spend. Life’s not going to be the same without you around…

You and I both. Art, movies, they’re the only thing keeping me together. Beyond just the state of the world, my entire life has essentially fallen apart in the last 2 years and there are days where I don’t even want to wake up.

Art has been there for me when nothing else has.
