It reads straight out of AI
generic, boilerplate text,
massively wide investment structure and focus totally out of kilter with their stated resources, they'd have to be geniuses with access to 100 hour days to deliver on their claims
almost as if they only want to convince the casual observer.. hmm

Knighthead Capital Management

Have a look at their site

It just completely lacks credibility or substance

I had some mates at the Blues end of season dinner, the nonsense emanating from Wagner's mouth was evidently insane, it was so silly they came out convinced the stadium will never happen.... the vast maj lapped it up of course, the more business minded saw it for what it was... eye opener for them

objectively, though I don't think anyone is gullible enough to take it on and that's not being anti that lot, it just isn't a sane project for investors

they say they won't start until the tramline is in

even the mayor admits it'll be 2 yrs before they even start thinking about thinking about it

you couldn't make it up

but i think there is a reckoning coming, can see the last throw of the dice will be to get some sort of plans out soon and the club will be up for sale (or rather the stadium project) and they'll try and get out before a spade hits the ground

In his typical style he tried to hoodwink the clowns with that ridiculous rendering, just 4 weeks after appointing architects.

They didn't even have time to get their pencils out for god's sake

total BS. but they bought it and thought that was the detailed plans required

They spunked £60m on shite + look like staying down

and the clock's still ticking on the fund liquidation

yet in real terms they have literally done nothing towards actually making the stadium happen, no tenders, no plans

All went wrong quickly as we know

Stuck in the Champ, Wagner jumped horses and went all in on the stadium but his caveats were epic, relegation meant he doubled down as value of the club was rock bottom. What else could he do?

So he bigged up the stadium nonsense to insane proportions...

The truth is it was supposed to be a stadium sale and a quick get-out with the deluded hope of PL under Rooney to drive value and let someone else worry about the ground.

Yeah a stroke, although some cynics think it might all be a sham, their investment cycle needs to pay out on the fund they bought them with, Wagner has stepped aside due to "ill-health", new fund head, different objectives... you can see the narrative opening up

Unai’s unfulfilled dream. Gone is the effervescent, rarely wrong, and inspirational figure in black. Now Unai is cutting a dejected profile on the sideline, focusing on things he cannot fix, whilst hoping for a miracle to repair those he can. To underline the current travails, Emery was on the cusp of a rare 100th win as Villa boss; now he is on the cusp of a 50th defeat, with few expecting the former to come first. Time and circumstance have taken their toll.

New: "Unai’s unfulfilled dream" — James on Unai Emery’s difficult run at Villa and what’s changed for a manager once rarely wrong. Read it: wix.to/srU3NlB

Chasing the game, gonna get caught
1-1, 2-1, looks so different literally and metaphorically at HT
we'll get picked off throughout this second half, but we've had the chances for this scoreline to be very different,

not a game to be hard on the team, this is no Wolves
