What point would there be to the carnage if the victim just sank to the bottom of the sea? Its anthracite skin is wrinkled and scars reflect the last of the fading daylight in stark white. An old animal, judging by its massive size and the battle scars. It must have been hunted before. Some of the scars are human-made. He thinks he recognises one from his own harpoon, decades old. Stepping towards the posts, he only hears his own boots on the creaking wood, and a clank of the chains, as waves gently lap at the whale’s body, bobbing it up and down. No other soul is present. Drawings of El Desperado, the Japanese wrestler. On the bottom right is a roughly rendered bust of el Desperado, looking forward at us. His lucha mask has a crest of white flame-like spikes around his brow that rises up above where his ears would be. The holes for his eyes are angled into an angry scowl, leaving the eye underneath completely black aside from his white irises. His nose is covered by a large triangular piece of black fabric, akin to a skulls nasal cavity. His mouth remains uncovered but has been painted with makeup to resemble the mandible of the skull. White fringe from the back of his mask comes around over his shoulder to the front. On the top right rendered bust he wears a similar mask, however his mouth is fully covered with a design of white fanged teeth warped into an eerie smile. Between these drawings show him with variations of these masks as he: idles during a match, pulls his fringe back, sits on the top rope, and just simply looks up from under his brow.
