02.26.2026 - Life Update + Vague-ish Birth Story! TW/CW: Childbirth I am almost 2 weeks postpartum. I was induced on Feb 12th, but was rushed for an emergency c-section due to placenta abruption and delivered my baby on Feb 13th. My baby and I are alive and well despite me losing more than a liter of blood from the abruption;; I know birth plans change, but I was not ready for the emotional, mental, and physical strain of having to accept and process the sudden surgery and its recovery right after. I will forever be blessed by the fact that I felt immediate relief and love for my baby as soon as I heard her cry as she was pulled out of me though. Her heartrate lowered so fast during the abruption. I'm so glad the docs, nurses, and technicians were quick to act. The road to recovery has been bumpy but has been made easier by my mom who was willing to stay with us for a year to teach, feed, and help me and my husband out. ♥ Half of my "baby blues" comes from feeling like I'm not doing as much as my mom and husband when it comes to general work around the house and baby. And the other half comes from me not ever feeling 100% physically. I'm always in some sort of pain from the incision, edema, sleep deprivation, and/or swollen breasts from needing to pump. I always have to remind myself that I just had a major surgery done and to take it one day at a time. I once again apologize for delays on commissions. I probably bit way more than I can chew, but I still plan on fulfilling them. Please DM me if you have any questions or concerns. I understand that delaying the induction would be beneficial to my baby, but holy crap for other info regarding my health that I assumed they've shared with each other already.

Very annoyed at how my OBGYN and MFM docs don't communicate amongst themselves? I was scheduled for an induction on the 3rd by my OBGYN and my MFM doc was like "Huh, you are? Let's delay that. Call your other doc." and I just wanted to be like "YALL NOT ON THE SAME PAGE??"
