So, Labor Day weekend, I do an Autumn decorations switch out on the Friday. I'm in Texas, so I will imagine the cooler days for a bit. I love seeing the library with the tree done up next to it. Super happy we have a rainy, somewhat cooler weekend this weekend.
Had Nevis and Kintyre to the vet for their yearly checkup. I love seeing the color difference between the two brothers. Kintyre is the darker one, and about 78 lbs, and a fraction of and inch taller than Nevis with his 76lbs. Kintyre also helps hold yarn when needed. π
Happy plants, and my Hoya finlaysonii bloomed for the first time. π
Working on another market bag in blue. Building sides now. Had fun with the other one.
Kaiju gives good cuddles. #rhinocerosiguana
Couple of random photos after a brief walkabout in the pasture. Texas pretties, and slime mold.
Bouquet of Thistle π #catsofbluesky
Kintyre and Ben Nevis enjoying a breezy, comfortable spring day in Texas. Heather told Kintyre she wasn't letting him back in. #oldtimescotchcollie #cat
Hahaha! Brother walks by and wipes the door handles with an antibacterial wipe. I asked him if he had been licking it and should we be concerned. I got such a nasty look, sheeshπ€£ππ€£! Also 9 flowers out of 30 done. #crochetsky
Running tomatoes up the trellis. And today's pull of asparagus, assorted lettuce, mustard greens, arugula and purple kale. #gardening
It was never just about schools, it was never just about libraries, and it isn't actually about the books.
It's about finding a way to banish entire people, entire ideas, out of society, back into the closet or worse.

Tonight is the 250th anniversary of Paul Revereβs midnight ride. May his memory remind us all to resist the tyranny forming in our government.
Seems like a good day to remind everyone that Auschwitz β a complex of over 40 concentration and extermination camps β was not located in Nazi Germany either.
I love sheep and miss my guys. I watched one work the carabiner clip on a gate and pop it open and start to open. I laughed, but was impressed, and then had to finagle hardware wire around to block him from doing it again.
Couple of projects completed. #crochetsky
This goober stole my spot and my crochet, and wasn't giving it back! #oldtimescotchcollie #crochetsky
Texas decided to have a cold snap. Currently 44F (feels like 37). Today is crocheting, relaxing to great music, staying cozy, worrying about the plants I booted outside, but are currently covered, and taco soup and TX toast. The soup smells wonderful.
Cory Booker ending his record-breaking speech on the Senate floor:
βLet's get in good trouble."
What a fantastic way to cap off his epic 25 hour and 5 minute speech.

Booker: "I confess that I have been imperfect. I confess that I've been inadequate to the moment. I've confess that the Democratic Party has made terrible mistakes that gave a lane to this demagogue. I confess we all must look in the mirror and say 'we will do better.'"
Some of my orchids in bloom
Pretty pansies
A week's worth of asparagus. About half in-ground, and half from the raised bed. πππ
Kintyre modeling an afghan for me while we figure out the width it will end as. Lol! Nevis thinks Kintyre is goofy. #crochetsky
My book arrived yesterday, and I let my brother read it. He was halfway through it when I checked on him later that evening. Lol!
Handsome boys on a sunny day π
Soggy dogs to fluff monsters. My back hates me, but Kintyre and Ben Nevis look good.
My other project is this before and after. And possibly my new favorite color
Raised beds got manure/soil added in today. Planted two tomato plants, and 48 corn seeds. Hopefully, tomorrow morning won't be insanely windy and I can get everything else planted. And dogs washed. Early. Apparently, even 3 and a half day weekends go by too fast.
Gargs are just the cutest
Pretty day for painting. Before and after, and a nice group of hangers
