Still unsure about how I feel about this IUBB team. I believe in what they are doing despite a naturally inconsistent style. Very new bunch but I expected fewer moments where they look like strangers.

Many notes to get to postgame, but important: Rick Carlisle said that Quenton Jackson is nearing a return. Monday off the table but late next week possible. He was scrimmaging with basketball interns this morning.

Off comes Ethan Thompson after a breakout game. “Mr. Thompson!!” shouts a groups of nearby fans.

Pacers get their first road win of the season, beating the Bulls in Chicago 120-105. Boos from Bulls fans as the game ends. Pascal Siakam was spectacular with 36p and 9r. Bennedict Mathurin with 28p. Ethan Thompson: 11 points and 3 assists in over 34 minutes.

Pacers clear the bench. Jarace Walker in for his first minutes of the second half, Tony Bradley and Taelon Peter first minutes of the night. Garrison Mathews and Ethan Thompson, relentless, join them.

Jay Huff slamming the door shut defending the rim. This one is over.

A very comfortable Pacers performance. Making 18 3s will make many teams look good, but Pacers took their open shots, kept the ball moving, and used the right parts of the best 3 guys at the right time. They're on the way to win number 5.

Pascal Siakam up to 36 points, tying his season high. He's been awesome tonight. Making shots from all over the floor and has 11 boards to go with it. His Pacers-high in points is 37.

Mathurin's sixth three falls, one off his career high. He and Jay Huff have a nice connection going tonight. Pacers up 15 inside the final five minutes.

A fifth three from Bennedict Mathurin off a shot fake and pass from Jay Huff. Pacers lead reaches 11 with 6:47 to go, timeout.

Andrew Nembhard, easy jumper from the foul line to put the Pacers up 11 again. Feels like he's got way more than 15 points.

Johnny Furphy with nearly a not-smart play there at the end of the third quarter, tapping a shot still in the air. It was off target and nothing is called. Pacers closed the quarter well behind some good play from Andrew Nembhard and they lead 92-83 with one period left.

Pacers have lost control of this game. They were up 19 at 80-61, 20-6 run since for the Bulls. Now a five-point game and the third quarter is an even 24-24. Timeout, Pacers.

Ethan Thompson checked out with 3:42 to go in the third quarter. Out of a stretch of 26:20 of play, he played all but 10 seconds and contributed often. Really impressive in his first major minutes.

Mathurin follows it up with a one arm pass to Jay Huff for a dunk. Pacers can't be stopped at the moment and lead by 18. Timeout, Bulls.

Mathurin for 3 to put the Pacers up 14. He and Siakam have both been good tonight. Mathurin with some words for Coby White, though not many, on the way back to defense.

Here’s the Pacers bench with some love for Thompson after he exited when his first stint ended… he was back in the game 10 seconds later.

Pascal Siakam and Bennedict Mathurin with 14 points each in the first half. They were good. Ethan Thompson is the story, though, with 9 points and 2 dimes after playing nearly 18-straight minutes. He was impactful, and the Pacers lead 62-57 at the break in Chicago.

Thompson checks out after nearly 16-straight minutes of play. 6 points, 1 rebound, 2 assists, +14 for the stint.

Thompson with 2 threes this quarter. He is playing well and just assisted a three for Siakam. He's played 15 straight minutes.

Awkward landing there for Mathurin as he draws a foul and he hits the stanchion. Stays down for a second but all four other Pacers on the floor come over to help him up and he's ok. Hits both foul shots.

Ethan Thomson third on the Pacers in minutes so far. Much different rotation than we've seen from the Pacers so far. They've struggled on defense but are shooting 55% as a team and keeping up. 42-39 Chicago right now.

Obi Toppin and Aaron Nesmith locked it during this timeout... to the bucket drummers. They can't look away.

Pascal Siakam, back in the game after early foul trouble, looks refreshed. Just hit a corner 3 to push the Pacers lead to 39-35. Ethan Thompson with some solid defense this quarter. Siakam up to 7 points.

Really good ball movement from the Pacers on that trpi and it ends with Johnny Furphy cutting and scoring his first points since returning from injury.
