Ben Sheppard (undisclosed) and Kam Jones (back) won’t play tomorrow in Minnesota, Rick Carlisle says. Sounds like Sheppard could play later in preseason but Jones is out a few weeks.

I was texting somebody about this after it happened to a Colts player so now that it happened again I want to ask this publicly: Does flipping the ball away even look cool? What’s the point of doing it AT ALL - not even considering proximity to the end zone?

Two more smaller ones:

-Every Delon Wright minute was with another PG on the floor (Dennis or Nembhard)
-Obi Toppin is very nice and still answered my question after I confused his kids 🤦‍♂️

If I had to have takeaways from an intrasquad scrimmage, Pacers today showed this:

-The pace was still there, if not faster
-Achilles bigs looked bouncy and natural
-Bench group, good

Bench generally looked quite good today.

Obi said this was something Myles was in charge of in the past and that they’ll need to bring it back

Final box:

Blue team beats White team 54-47. Tyrese Haliburton, on the White team, runs over to the other side to celebrate but T.J. McConnell tells him stay back (he did not).

Johnny Furphy has switched teams (??) and is now on the White team. A FanJam first.

Halftime box score:

Bennedict Mathurin banks in a deep 3 at the "halftime" buzzer. It's 34-33 blue team at halftime. Toppin and Siakam were both effective and have 12 ponts.

James Wiseman joining Jackson on the "looks totally recovered" train. Nice finish on a lob, moving and screening very well.

FanJam isn't a veterans game but Pascal Siakam just drew three-straight fouls and is taking a bunch of free throws. The NBA is always changing.
