They could use the opportunity to add some actual Chinese characters to the cast in a setting that's supposed to be strongly Chinese-influenced.
And yes, the moment has probably passed, but the passion from the cast seems to be there, which is a very important part of making something enjoyable.

Fun! What era you playing, and what kind of character?
I've got a fun concept in my back pocket for a STA character but the one game I almost got into fell apart on me.

I've got a busy weekend of trying some new games - Edge of the Empire, Shadowdark, Daggerheart, AGE - and playing and running Savage Worlds. Should be a good time.

Sadly all you can really hope is what appears to have happened here - someone says some seriously out of pocket shit and then gets corrected by their friends who know more. Instead of doubling down on supporting the Nazi they go "Oh shit, turns out the local news didn't show me any of that! Sorry!"
I mean, probably a lot of people. A lot lot.
I think us terminally-online leftists tend to overestimate how much the average person who, like, barely uses Facebook and gets their news from the local TV knows about the media people they get their information from.
It's a whole different world.

I myself generally have no trust at all for people who describe themselves that way, but people I trust who know Shane better than I do seem to accept this as a genuine apology.
It... sounds like he gets it, at least in this instance. And I've heard more than that from people who know him and current and former Pinnacle employees who were hurt by him.
I can't really fault people who don't accept his apology, but to me it does read as genuine from someone who is, really...
For what it's worth, yes. I've seen several conversations with people who explained to Shane why what he said was so hurtful to them and such a betrayal. He's issues a more detailed apology.

Shane is the owner of Pinnacle Entertainment and Savage Worlds is entirely his. I mean other people worked on it, but he's always been the lead.
Mr. Eyeballs was never going to be anything but a villain. The Aliens franchise doesn't include any benevolent aliens, and it was distracting the guy on the ship so the alien bug could get out, not trying to warn him.

They've cut a lot of good ideas over the years in the pursuit of simplicity. It mostly didn't work.
Yes, in the new Monster Manual they reclassified a bunch of humanoid creatures as other types with the intent of not making any humanoid monsters, despite them still being intelligent and humanoid in shape. Like there's no generic Lizardfolk; the ones in the MM are Elementals. Gith are Aberrations.
