I realize now that my phrasing may give the wrong idea. Rather than encountering a pokemon a certain amount of times, it actually took that many encounters just to find one. With that said...four Clefairy in a casual run through Mt. Moon. Caught two of them.

Had no intention on hunting down the rarer pokemon this playthrough, which of course means LeafGreen decided to be awfully nice.
