Norwich's rolling non-penalty xG for and against for this season. They have managed to keep the average against below 1 for a while following a good series of defensive performances. Attacking numbers dropped, but have started to pick back up again. Need to get some consistency.
While this seems unlikely, there is a huge amount of untapped talent from the Middle East. Also, given rules around needing Saudi players, developing young Saudi talent and selling for a premium to the Saudi league is likely to be very profitable.
From what I have seen of Jurasek he has looked very good. Strange that Slavia have decided to sell now given his potential, but €7m is a big price. Obviously a lot of inherent and risk and feels a very Webber 2019 style signing - get in before he pops and big clubs make a move.
I don't think it is the attack that is the area of concern for Norwich, more about trying to stop the defence leaking some soft goals. There has been a strong improvement in that area recently and that bodes well for the rest of the season if it can be maintained.
Of course, but it is still the best signifier of performance level around. Also, in 20/21 Pukki scored 26 goals from an xG of 26.4 so far this season Crnac has scored 4 from a xG of 2.9.
Norwich’s underlying numbers have been mostly good this season. Up to this point they have been better than the 20/21 season (which really took off from this point).
Delighted for Forson. Has had a tricky time recently and hopefully this is first step for him becoming an important player.
Felt it only right my first Bluesky post was a 10 game rolling average npxG for and against over Norwich' last three seasons to date.
