13 Jan. date on a letter Miller’s brother Kermit wrote to him—(it must have been in 1935 and sent to Miller when he was at Michigan), telling him about being woken up by a fire alarm while staying at a hotel on sales trip and meeting several “loose” women there while out drinking at the local bars!

Here is a letter that Miller and Tennessee Williams wrote together on 30 Dec. 1954 to Louis Funke at the New York Times calling out a comment Eric Bentley had made in his recent book (I assume: In Search of Theater) in regard to Elia Kazan's input into Salesman and Streetcar!

28 Dec. 1950, Miller’s adaptation of An Enemy of the People opened on Broadway with Fredric March and Florence Eldridge; given the socio-political climate of the time. March had asked Miller to create a version for them to use.

Celebrating Vanessa Redgrave, born today, 88 years old.
Her Mary Tyrone. One doesn’t so much direct her as watch in awe as she takes the work somewhere fearless and uncompromising.
A life spent taking risks. An artist who believes the work matters more than approval.

Kim Belflower’s "John Proctor is the Villain" is over on Broadway but there is more coming: Sadie Sink is executive producer of the film adaptation of the play, but it is unlikely she will be starring. The film will be produced by Marc Platt and Tina Fey, with Belflower adapting the screenplay.

owed more than a little to Arthur Miller’s tragedy “Death of a Salesman” and, by his own admission, a lesser-known play by Robert Bolt, “Flowering Cherry.” It was shown on British television in 1963 and made it to the London stage in 1968, refashioned and retitled as “Enter a Free Man.”

Karl Swenson played the lead, David Beeves, and it was directed by Joseph Fields (brother of the lyricists Dorothy and Herbert Fields). John Chapman’s Daily News headline took the obvious route! “A Good Try, But Is Out of Luck.” Howard Barnes just went with “P. S.––He Needed It.” 2/2

Looks like the new Ivo van Hove's All My Sons is getting stellar reviews in London, mostly five star! Several though keep saying that Chris is the younger brother, which is clearly untrue, there is plenty of evidence in the play that Chris is most certainly the elder of the two Keller sons.
