Drake stands on the water, twisting his wet tunic with a serene expression of who's unnafected by chaos while a young white dragon plays in the water right behind him, its tail partially out of the water. Floating freely, various orange colored water lotuses move in the moving water.

An OC, Elizabeth, with her face partially obscured by a veil, reaches down to an obscured pool where souls reach out to her. Her wings are exposed, both physical and spiritual, sheltering the spirits as she guides them with her light. Her dress disolves into the dark waters in soft waves, as though she too is a part of it in some capacity.

A lil detail I'm not sure I mentioned before.. Ashlar is drake's grandpa, and Elizabeth his aunt from his other parent side. I should make a portrait of both his dads.... eventually 🤣

p4: what he learned the hard way, was that mobei jun had his own particular ways of using said powers, too.
p5: Right under everyone's noses, yet unnoticed to all but shang qinghua himself.
p6: At first, not understanding it, Shang Qinghua would fear it.
p7: What if mobei jun was giving him a warning —letting him know that a single slip up would mean an early grave?

p2: narration: Began to make more sense, and take on a different meaning.
sqh [thinking as mbj's shadow crawl nudges him]: He's just informing he's nearby...

p3 [shadow once again hug sqh]: Narration: Until Shang Qinghua understood it simply meant
p4: sqh sighing

p1: "I'm here" in a way that would rouse no suspicion. As the years went by, his understanding of mobei jun deepened just as the shadows got bolder.

p2: sqh [thinking as mobei's shadows crowl over him]: Finally. I thought you wouldn't show up!
narration: and each time they covered move of him, the more he liked it.
p3: The more he missed it when mobei jun was away

p4: narration: Until he craved it like it was a part of him.
