And Wuwa is normally great about the way its skip button works. There are times where there's a cutscene that doesn't have a summary for its skip, but when you do have a summary, it actually covers what's in the cutscene that didn't have one. That's really fucking great!

But it's not like #wutheringwaves is immune. Granted, they don't do the "walking cutscene" as much, and the point where you're just kind of in QTE mode are more dynamic, but...the new texting thing is basically unskippable, un-speed-able dialogue.

This is a lot more noticeable with #honkaistarrail, with the amount of slow walking scenes where you're technically in control but watching the narrative happen around you without really interacting with it, and those types of things seemed to get more common when there was a skip button.

Y'know, one thing I noticed recently with several gacha games:

Seems like the games that have a skip button for cutscenes just...slowly introduce forms of cutscenes that in some way bypass the skip button.

Something I think should do for at least one #royalrumble is have both champions sitting at ringside, maybe even straight-up on commentary, during the match.

Anyway, this has been super long, and I'm terrified of what kind of cringe is going to show up on our screens. No, I don't think this now makes Big Brother the more serious game. I think The Traitors is the serious game now anyway, but...y'know, it sure does put BB and Survivor in line together.

As much as I don't like these celebrity appearance overshadowing most of the players in the trailer, from production's standpoint, I do understand what they're doing. The players that got more screentime were mostly the old-school players, so that trailer seems more meant for lasped viewers than us
