yup, ithaca-tompkins international airport became an intl airport right before covid because they'd created an area for customs processing during renovations. they have to call a customs agent down from syracuse and I don't think commercial intl flight has ever been scheduled, but the name stuck!

I used to live down the street from that airport and loved roller skating around there during covid when there was nobody else around. ran the runway 5k in 2019 and it was such a cool experience to close a whole airport down for an hour!

it truly was! I have so many fond memories of parking on the street near memorial hospital where my dad worked and walking to the stadium to see rehabbing red sox for $10 in the green seats. I'm glad pawtucket is getting a new high school but I'll forever miss it.
