Three hours ago there was some!
The only reason to do something like this is if he's hiding something, right?
I can't fathom any other reason.
YES. I do this too. Sometimes even if I'm not actually crossing, I will hit a beg button. Especially if they're the "You have to press this one to get the crossing signal because people outside of cars just don't actually exist."
I'm so glad that's it's so nice and sunny out, with all the snow melting, and the ice disappearing. It looks great. So glad real Spring is here. I love winter and outdoor winter sports, but I'm glad we're into Spring now.
*REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE WEATHER FORECAST*
Gotta add some numbers into that Advertising Revenue line.
Cover every space with ads. Cover all the windows too. Make it like OCTranspo where the ads will also sometimes fall down onto the floor, not to mention that 9 times out of 10 you can't see out the windows with the stupid wraps.
Yay! Dr thinks that my bunion is not the cause of my foot troubles, but instead might be a nerve issuesbdue to my flat feet.
Bonus: can start with Sports Med instead of podiatrist. Wait time is shorter!
Bad news: wait time is still looking at 4 to 6 months.
I'm on main campus for a bit this morning and could have biked, but I don't trust that it's not going to get terrible now that it's just starting.
I bought new pedals for Amara (my Gravel bike) and didn't realize that they're quite close to the colour of my Gravel shoes.
(Bought the pedals because of good reviews and a sale. Not to match.)
Also, controversial, but I dislike white socks.
THIS.
I do this so many times while biking because I can't do the "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" both arms extended like I do while walking.
We are getting to the car window down season so people can hear me chirping at their bad behaviours.
100%! I'm probably needing to replace my rear wheel, which means either getting it (including internal hub) replaced, or having someone rebuild it.
I'm all for "the least environment impact option is what you already have", but I also don't want to sink money on something I don't love anymore.
I was also thinking of replacing my commuter this year, but I haven't found the right bike to replace it with.
(Upright, cheapish, low maintenance, etc.)
I was also thinking of turning my older road bike into my commuter since I got a really nice gravel bike end of last season.
Is their boss the Hex Wrench Wench?
My friend, I've got a set of rusted, barely functional canti brakes in my parts bin that might go so incredibly well in your collection.
But I might need them someday. Y'know. If brakes are ever not possible to get.
I'm also in Ottawa, but grew up in Nova Scotia.
We had Louie the Lightning Bug.
Do they still teach kids to avoid playing near powerlines?
And does that lightning bug from those commercials still exist?
(These have been "Bedtime with Gwen while high" thoughts.)
If his "Shield" can be an acronym, it needs to be:
Stupid Hateful Idiotic Evil Loser Department
I am a ski friend.
I also want to bike again though.
Shows how much I get by that way!
Hey #OttBike
That Tim's on Laurier where everyone pulls over into the bike lane?
It's gone!
Oh shit. Thats why my eyes are watering.... I honestly always forget.
Did you get out? I'm hoping for one last afternoon skate. (I feel like today is gonna be the end looking at the forecast.)
It's for sure not the most robust fabric (certainly not actually made for clothing) but the prints are very fun.
There was also a cat fabric that caught my eye, but I think they were a little too big for even overalls like this.
G-O-Double D
I made these Christmas Overalls this past year. Also Ikea fabric.
Ikea has some great stuff. One 2M pack is enough for a pair of these plus a fair bit of leftover.
Alas, I am not that tallented!
These are the Riley Overalls from True Bias.
I often forget that sewing is akin to magic.
Two weeks ago, this was a length of flat fabric, some thread, and hardware in a bin.
(Also, these are the 6th pair I've made from this pattern. 4 for me in either pants of shorts, and 2 for a friend.)
I was pleasantly surprised! Skating in March is not usually that good.
That said, I only did Pretoria to Carleton (and no Dow's). So downtown might have been real bad.
Canal update:
Bumpy all over but conditions were actually mostly good.
Wind from the north though? Mean.
And if people go through them as they're setting up? It's going to be terrible.
I especially glad the Western Canal Pathway was closed for so long between Bank and Bronson and is STILL terribly puddle ridden.
