Just a guess, but I am going with reading books is not a thing with this crowd.

How exciting. I am organizing my basement. Grabbed a lamp off the shelf to move it. Looked down at the old-fashioned fiber-wrapped cord draped over my fingers. I mused that it seemed cold which surprised me. Then, it fell to the floor. Not a cord. A baby garter snake. Safely relocated to the woods.

The proposed budget cuts funding to the National Endowments for the Arts. The NEA ($210M) is 0.003% of the federal budget. Defense is 13% of the budget. The "Golden Dome" will cost $161B to $542B to implement. The money allocated to the "Golden Dome" could fund the NEA for 778 to 2619 YEARS.

I've only seen one in my life. Pretty startling to see in the wild. We get quite a few tiger swallowtails on the farm. Our wet areas tend to have a lot of Joe Pye weed which apparently attracts them. We see the caterpillars on our dill.

Caught this column cloud at sunrise a few weeks ago. It was only visible for a brief time. I would have missed it, but my husband brought it to my attention. We're too distracted by life and end up missing the beautiful parts. Beauty is all around us. We just need to keep looking.
