For the 4th of July maybe watch some classic feel-good but still relevant and timely movies from back in the good old days that focus on the core values of our Republic ? I'm thinking "Soylent Green" and the original Carradine "Death Race 2000," then maybe "Rollerball."
I'm not a Trump fan, but I think we need to be clear here. Musk is mad at him for not screwing average Americans over ENOUGH in favor of billionaires. It's two crocs arguging, and Musk is the croc that wants to eat us completely not just rip off our legs.

โI think the world needs many more young angry women, to be honest,โ said Thunberg. โEspecially with everything going on right now. Thatโs the thing we need the most of.โ

2) I'm not young and I feel like the average level of sensibility in the DNC is twenty years older than ME! Until the DNC recognizes it's not an incumbency protecting machine, my money will go to people creating change.
1) I've been donating to Sanders and AOC. I'll donate to the party again when we don't hear Ken Martin sniveling in public about credibility and recognize that David Hogg represents the future and that we SHOULD be primary testing our tired, over-the-hill, candidates. #democrats #dnc

"Gotta get down to it

Found her dead on the ground?
How can you run when you know?"
Yes there haven't been any shootings, yet...but there's no question of the intent in this case.
โI will not yield because it was a terribly disrespectful comment, and I will not yield to disrespectful men,โ Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
Glad to see from this morning's email that the big boys are getting traction on their efforts to keep everyone well prepared in our changing work environment.
When we present on this "calm" and "silence" are things that come up a lot in terms of what underlying yearnings drive fantasies along these lines, particularly for people who are never entirely at peace. To be fair, that kind of captures the original beating heart of the "goth" aesthetic as well.
I was taught to have great respect for people who pay their debts and don't renege on bets.
I haven't gotten into town in a while, but I suspect the current crowd are a real class act...not necessarily related but I can't help thinking it increases the odds of running into somebody with such a sophisticated standard of conduct.
Growing up or even living for long in the Washington DC Metro area leaves one with a permanent disadvantage in communicating what is "realistic" in terms of outcome and consequence to people who live elsewhere on the planet. I try to be fashionable and refer to it as "being jaded."
"I've got a little list - I've got a little list
Of society offenders who might well be underground
Who never would be missed...."
On point terrifying dystopian novels aren't selling like hotcakes these days...just my personal experience. I think most people assume ours is about "the bad things that have already happened" not "the much worse things that are coming."
They were pretty upset to learn that Doug Neidermeyer was dead, and also fictional, but are looking for someone with similar professional qualifications.
I've never met a person who used "alpha" to describe people, particularly themselves, who wasn't some variety of asshole. Also the Venn diagram overlap of people who use that term aggressively and people who don't know where it comes from, is very large.
I'm convinced that much of the power of J. R. R. Tolkien's writing is that his Catholic repression combined with Merton College compelled a great deal more psychosexuality into his work than is generally credited.

If you don't know how hard the DNC has made it for primary challengers...they have. And it explains a lot about having geriatric leadership that lost to Trump.

In Today's good-ish news. People are learning that "eating faces" was not a metaphor. I mean it is regrettable more people don't care about the threat to send American Citizens to concentration camps in other countries, but you know a pfennig is a pfennig. www.cnn.com/2025/04/15/p...
We've always had the "Bunny Dip" and "Bunny Perch," but I think I like the "Bunny Crouch" even better. Always being since 1960, and my history books don't go back beyond that.
