This week the legislature advanced the legal framework tied to Micron infrastructure. No spending yet, but the decisions we make now shape Central New York’s future. More here:
It's annoying because I didn't want to spend the money on this, but now that we already have spent it, I would like to get my monies worth.
When controlled by Republicans, Onondaga County's legislature approved a corporate-welfare aquarium project.
Now Dems control the leg, but the county's already spent $40M. What to do?
This is a great example of governing's complexities, and @mobreezy213.bsky.social is navigating them masterfully.
“I do think it would be worth it to tell our stories, our histories,” Brown said.
Quick update from my lane in local government. The Micron sewer district process moved forward, but big questions remain. Transparency and oversight matter. Read more:

“Working families are still dealing with unreliable bus service, rising housing costs, and public safety conversations that focus more on reaction than prevention,” Brown said.
Thank you so much I'm honored to have your support! Both financial and publicly. If I can ever be helpful don't hesitate to reach out!
I just donated to @mobreezy213.bsky.social,
a Syracuse area election for state assembly. He’s a progressive candidate taking on the institutional Democrat, who tilts way too moderate and opposes climate/jobs action.
Please donate, too! Link ⬇️

Happy international Women's Day 2026. On this woman's day I want to honor my mom. I know she'd hate everything else going on in the world, but she'd be hype to see her baby boy fighting to help people.
Local / County governments pushing the New York State government (read: Kathy Hochul) to do what's right and stop colluding with ICE. Here, it's Ulster County in the Mid-Hudson Valley. #ShareGoodNewsToo
I am very glad to hear that the mayor and his wife are safe.

It's weird when I'm at community events and folks speak in generalities about politicians doing bad jobs.
There's this notion in local politics that elected officials are perfect and can do no wrong where I know that's not true. Even with me.
But yes, the county leg can do better. Myself included.
Teamwork!!!
Got to hand out water to runners and get petition signatures for @tammy-honeywell.bsky.social @mobreezy213.bsky.social and Jo Bennett today!
We cannot solve a housing crisis with luxury apartments alone. We need deeply affordable homes for working families, seniors, and young people just starting out.
Corporate greed is driving up costs for working families. We need accountability and policies that put people first.
