Went to bed early and got up early. Feeling better for the first time in the last several months. I think my depression is gone for now. Am going to work on getting my paperwork in order today - filing and scanning. Getting ready to do my taxes. Only 26 days left til I get my first annuity check!

it’s been snowing here in Dallas on and off all night long. It’s too dark to see right now whether it’s stuck or not, but I have to go out at 8 o’clock so I will see then. Winter in Oregon.

Finally gave in and ordered a new iPad to go with my recently acquired iphone and Iwatch. Delivering tomorrow by 130. Saying goodbye to my chromebook laptop, but keeping chrome as my browser. I am new to the apple universe, but so far I am liking it really well.

Went on an outing today with DRV to Lincoln City to have lunch at Kyllos. Good but boy was it ever expensive. I had an appetizer and an entree and no drinks and it was $67 with tip. Gulp - way out of my budget for lunch out. But a little fairy slipped a $20 into my pocket so that made it not so bad.

Who knew there was a town called Macleay SE of Salem? Went there on the DRV bus for lunch today. Kind of rural - Xmas tree farms and streams as we passed. Beautiful day for a drive in the country. Fun afternoon!

Went to left coast cellars for lunch Friday with a group from here at DRV. They have a beautiful grounds with lots of natural landscapes and a great view. Didn't taste the wine so I can't comment about that but the pizza and salad lunch was delicious! Near Highway 99 between Rickreall & Amity.

Me too for the same reason Ross - I haven't watched a TV news show for about 3 or 4 years. I just couldn't stand the raging torrent of negativity and pure hatred. It was making me crazy and really stressing me out. I don't miss it. I look at the headlines from Wash Post and NY TImes and keep up.

Well now I am following 14 and followed by 13. Facebook started acting wonky on me as soon as I made my post about moving to Bluesky. Not showing images and chats, etc. Anybody else had that experience?

Having a quiet Sunday at home with my cats after recently getting home from the hospital. It is good to be in my own space again! Going into Salem tomorrow for my mentoring session at the humane society - I am doing cat enrichment duty otherwise known as playing with cats. Fun volunteering!

Going out to the Halsey country bakery this morning with a group from DRV. Should be a nice trip.
