Dripping with blood that was both hers and someone else’s, she moved her hand from her battered nose to repeat her question.

Eugene needed to be able to see to drive his new fishing vessel, knowing what he had to accomplish to regain his sight for a little while was the part that he dreaded most.

It seems that Tilly was already prepping the barn for Halloween with homemade decorations made from paper and scraps of wood she'd found lying around.

Making candy for trick-or-treaters was something ingrained in her, so for the moment she was sitting in front of a campfire boiling homemade syrup.

The fisherman didn't quite know what to make of them, one thing was for sure; he couldn't hear a single puff of breath as the footsteps crunched closer towards him.

Eugene nodded softly in response, smiling warmly whilst returning his hand to his side.

“That's nice, must be helluva job at Christmas and Thanksgiving, betcha dinner table is so long it's out the front door,” the fisherman teased, sniggering slightly at the mental image.

“Aint that the truth though,“ Eugine replied with a nod, fully aware of the situation that was the little county in Kansas.

“Sometimes I feel like Nowhere is where a higher power decided to test out the things that they weren't sure would work out in the rest of the world,” he hummed letting out ⬇️
