Dr. Grace T. Cruz of UPPI chaired the IAWGPP. It received technical assistance from Dr. Nobuko Mizoguchi and Dr. Anne Morse of the US Census Bureau, with support from UNFPA Philippines.

The 2020 CBPP is a collaborative effort of the Philippine Statistics Authority, UP Population Institute, and members of the Interagency Working Group on Population Projections (IAWGPP).

At the national and regional levels, our projections mirror closely the actual counts, strengthening the case for their use for policy planning and resource allocation for the next years.

The recently released 2024 Census of Population (POPCEN) counts validate our work on the 2020 Census-Based Population Projections (CBPP) with the PSA.
