We absolutely love this! Amazing production, amazing narration, and amazing authors - we're so proud to say that Simultaneous Times has adapted some of the work we publish! #sciencefiction #podcast

This book has been in my bookcase for decades...and is still there in an honored location. Some books truly change the world, and this one definitely did for so many of us.

Finished this a couple days ago - wow, what a book! @housleydave.bsky.social has outdone himself with this one. So much to love in this novel, which I'm still thinking about. Will write a review for it soon!

Can't overlook or overstate how ridiculous next week's heat looks. Denver may hit 80+ for 4 straight days. And a chance to hit 90. In March.

Denver's earliest 90°+: April 30. If we get there next week (possible)...it'd be 6 weeks earlier than the current record.

Unreal.

That’s 125% of the National Science Foundation’s annual budget, for anyone keeping track.

Grammarly said: "We built the agent to help users tap into the insights of thought leaders and experts and to give experts new ways to share their knowledge and reach new audiences." So, they will put words in your mouth, as if you said them - without your knowledge! Breathtakingly unbelievable.

I get so tired of talking/posting/writing about AI every single day. Ugh. I just want to write my stuff and not worry about all that.

To be exquisitely clear, I never volunteered for this, I was never asked about this, and I do not consent to this.

Pretty sure everyone I know on the list (much longer than what is shown) would say the same.

Grammarly can fuck off to the edge of the universe and keep fucking off beyond that.

It should not be like this in March!

I've never used that - and when one of my writing partners kept pushing me to try it, I said, "no thanks...I'll figure out the grammar myself!" Now I'm doubly glad I didn't fall for it.

Thousands of authors publish ‘empty’ book in protest over AI using their work About 10,000 writers including Kazuo Ishiguro, Philippa Gregory and Richard Osman join copyright campaign

This is a protest not just against gen AI training generally, but against the UK government's proposal to allow AI companies to train on copyright-protected work unless the author/artist opts out

Book cover showing a cartoon image of a flying saucer beaming yellow light down upon a house with people standing in front of it. The cover text is "Aliens Attack!" by Dave Housley.

Forgot the alt text, so here it is again...with alt text!

Just received this book over the weekend. I started reading and cannot put it down! I loved Dave Housley's previous book and this one is even better. Highly recommended! You can get it from Mason Jar Press. #scifi #sff

lol - not going to work. "If the House and Senate advance a bill and Congress remains in session, any bill would become law within 10 days even without a signature from Trump."

Just submitted a flash fiction piece about a dystopian, yet hopeful, future. I tweaked it a little, read it out loud again, and thought, "I really like this story." And I do! Hoping the editors like it too.

Well, that's interesting - I decided this morning to make this soup and just had it for lunch! I've made it a zillion times. One of my faves for sure.

Seems weird to be excited about snow in Colorado, but we've had virtually none all winter. Just dry, dry, dry and 70 degree days. Even the cactus in my garden was suffering. You shouldn't have to water a cactus, imho, but that's what I did.

Yay! Snow! It's amazing...and beautiful out there. Glad I canceled my meeting and am staying home this morning.
